Thread: TKA: Freakin Fun.

I agree - TKA is the most fun I've had as a combat profession and it certainly seems the most balanced - not in terms of damage output/defence/whatever, but rather, as an all-round "fun" class. It's the only combat profession I've ever Mastered, simply because working through the skills (note: not GRINDING) is so much fun you barely notice how much time you're putting in, unlike something like, say, Smuggler pistol skills, which seem to take an eternity of not-much-fun...
I agree. I mastered RM before my dabble with TKA. Itswasnt anywhere as close to the fun Im having with TKA. I mostly PvE and cant recall the last time I used my rifles. Im currently 4 3 4 3 after just a week and half of casual gaming. I didnt purposely grind - its the addiction to this profession thats to blame 
The devs can nerf this to their hearts content - Im staying coz I never had this much fun in SWG

Yup, even novice marksman, or novice BH with LLC does 1 hit per second.
And yeah, TKA is alot of fun.

Yep, TK is definately the best profession as far as fun is concerned for me. My only gripe I have is the animation for UH3 is so long that I have to really pay attention when spamming it on mobs. When I first got TKM, I was constantly spamming UH3 up until mob death. The problem here is that you can't move until the animation is finished. And the animation is so long it can put a kink in your plans if you have to make a hasty retreat (like say 3 SBDs are bearing down on you). What I try to do now is when the mob is down to near death, I swap over to other attacks such as UH2 and what not. The animations for these attacks aren't nearly as involved and allow me to regain my mobility much faster than UH3 would.

I agree!! TK rocks.And yes, when you play TK, you don't feel like you're grinding because you're actually having fun.
I started out as a master CM, then switched to TK. Now I'm mastering chef as well. TKM/Master Chef....the ultimate combo....lol.
I love TK. It doesn't feel like a grind because I feel like Jet Li taking out a crowd with my Spin2 and Stun to UH2 combo. I lovethe red lights flying off my hands when it is nearly pitch black on Dathomir and I am taking on a Maklok bull or a nightsister. It was slow at first, but once I reached TK Expert, the experience has just flown by. I have 3 boxes to go and I am probably going to be a master by the end of this week.....and that is one profession I am sticking with. I have already figured out how to master each of the weapon professions and retain TK. my eventual template will probably be a smuggler TK with a dabble in Fencing......if they get duel wield that is. but TK will be the old standby for me.
God I love my job!
