Thread: Knucklers!!!!!!
TK's don't need stun dmg... but something other than heat which most everything is immune to would be nice... I would think like electric would be good, but then ns elders would still evade us.... but tk's wih stun would be way too powerful... though I have a feeling that all armor will have a major change when the combat balance hits... so I am thankful for the new knuckler
The new knuckers will at least help us out a little more in pvp since most armor only has the resist to heat in the 60-70 range, which is a hell of a lot better then the 80-90 kinetic range we currently have to deal with. That and apprently this knucklers have a better damage range then vks.
Now on the stun thing, please stop posting about that...I mean the weapon could be a piece of crap but in a hand of tka, we would be unstopable, which would lead to mass cry for ournerf which would lead to us getting gimped in some patch.

Are you aware that there is 90% BASE sets of composite out there? As a matter of fact I have one. Combine this with a good PSG and some synth steak and say bye bye to all damage other than stun. So what it sounds like, you would like to be sub par in PvP rather than do respectable damage?
Stun damage is required in PvP to compete.

the problem isn't TKAs damage types, it's armor.
there is one set of armor that protects against everything to an insane degree except for one damage type.
No matter what damage type you got, you'd be just as well off, unless it was stun.
Only proffesions that would be trash withought stun, need stun. Basicly just Fencers. WHY do rifleman do stun? i have no idea. The jawa ion rifle SHOULD do electric damage anyway.
When they fix armor, so that diffirent people wear differnt armors for different effects, THEN you can complain about damage types. But as of right now, everyone who dosn't do stun damage is in the exact same boat.
And the solution is NOT give every one stun.
After doing some math, If your using 90% composite armor, 45% base PSG, and 45% synth steak and a person is doing around 250 points of damage per hit guess how much damage goes through.

Long Vibro Axe- 130-500 damage @ 4.5 speed
Mitigation -60% damage gap = 130-278 @ 4.5
Average damage per hit = 204 @ 4.5
Your Armor -90%=20.4 @ 4.5
Your Psg -45% = 11.2
your Synth steak - 45%= 6.7
TKA toughness -57%= 2.8
PvP reduction -75%= 0.7
Damage output modifier X1.8=1.26
Polearm hit 3 X3= 3.78 @ 4.5
A master pikeman hits at about once every 2.5 seconds with hit 3, so.... 1.5 damage per second with polearm hit three.
We're gonna need to get some DoTs in here...

Why give certain classes advantages over others? Thats not balance.
I know I know...Itll be fixed in the combat balance blah blah blah. How long have they beenfeeding usthis crap? Over 6 months. Face the facts, they are more worried about thesmall number of Jediand thier balance more than the overall populace and customer base of this game. Funny eh?
They simply need to make armor more varied.
Not one, end-all, be-all suit.
No one should have protection against all of everything.
