yep, TKA is the best agains jedi, i pretty much own every jedi on my server .. 1 on 1, trick is. keep him stated all the time so he drains out his force state-healing himself... and ALWAYS have him intimidated, always, now if u have tkm's 4 states on him , dizzy-lunge him and hes urs , in duel i always win xept 1 or two maybe , but, in pvp... ull never get them, they'll alwasy have enough force left to force run away lol, or run around grouping others so u'll find urself 1 vs 6 .

I disagree that TKA is the BEST but it's effective, if a Jedi really knows what he's doing the fight can at least get in to a no win situation for both of you, I know a few Jedi that can do this on my server (the ones I know can at least are on our side though ). For damage output there is one proffesion that is MUCH more effective againest Jedi then TK, Swordsman. Jedi have no mitigation so with a good hammer you can so ALOT of damage to a Jedi, the first Knight I dueled with a hammer I took down in seconds (I'm currently speed caped thanks to a friend of mine). I've only met one Jedi so far that in a one on one duel can stand up to swordsman, thats because he has one VERY nice saber& can take me down before I get the hits off on him.

But I'm not saying TK isn't effectiveas it is but, from my experience, it's not the Jedi Killer everyone thinks it is if it'sa Jedi who really knows their template.

Swordsman might outdamage a TK (tho only when they're speedcapped and have good gear), but you also take A LOT more damage as a swordsman.

You do take more but I wouldn't say it's ALOT more. Personly I'd sooner have a fight thats going to go one way or the other deppending how the people play it insted of a fight that could end up draging on for an hour just as both sides know their proffesion & what they are fighting too well. But thats just me

Lastnight, I finally had a nice encounter with a Jedi Knight.

I had been anticipating this...for this was one of the main reasons that I had fully grinded TK.

Well, I totally owned him. Given my defenses are high...(TKM/Master Rifleman/Fencer 0/4/4/0/Medic 0/1/0/0)...but basically I just kept keeping him busy with KD's and states. He didn't really have time to think about offensive moves. I suppose the key is keeping the Jedi on the defensive. I believe I only had to heal once.(I was using Center of Being of course...and I dodged often). It was a duel...so he ended the duel.

Conclusion:

TKM is very effective against Jedi. I believe it is more effective against Jedi than any other profession. Ranged professions are pretty much shot (although they do provide good support; I.E. Carbineer/Bh Carbines). Swordsman is also quite effective against Jedi if you have a very nice Acklay Hammer.

Just wanted to share the experience...and encourage all you TKM's out there to try fighting a Jedi sometime. MEDIC is a must though.

Yup, its these level of posts I love to see... a 24 hour ground out TKA profession vrs a Jedi with 100's of times more time put into their skills... and for what? LMAO

- If they plan to make TKM a class to go against Jedi, then the grind should be comparible in length to Jedi =) After all, you all scream how over powered Jedi is, yet I see post after post after post all the time how some def / melee stacked build made in a few short days tanked a well trained Knight. You want fairness in a game like this? LOL, riiiiggght!

- I know I am trolling, I rarely ever do so =/ I am just so fed up with having everyone point their fingers at us Jedi blaming us for litterally everything thats wrong with the
game and come up with a great many reasons why we should get nurfed more so. Cant wait for combat ballance... after that is done, I am sure we will only have a larger amount
of ppl cry out for nurfing Jedi even more... So sad that if all goes well, NO single elite prof should ever be able to take on a Jedi 1 on 1 ... at least a well trained
Padawan and certainly not a KNight.... unless they are unbuffed and sitting there doing nothing in full Overt status and let you walk up to them =P

What bothers me about Jedi who complain of being underpowered is this... Jedi are hands down the best PvE class in the game, as every creature and every NPC is vulnerable to lightsaber damage.

Yet all I ever hear about is how Jedi can't beat every single template 8 out of 10 times (or whatever outrageous percentage would be acceptable to Jedi). I don't really get this attitude of wanting to be "UBER" and PWN every single other player out there. I know that there are a handful of speed-capped swordsmen, pikeman with insane DOT lances, and riflemen with legendary T-21's that absolutely own Jedi. Guess what: they own everyone else, too.

As insanely powerful as Jedi may be at PvE, they can only be so powerful at PvP, since otherwise the game would be too imbalanced. I certainly agree that Jedi should be the most powerful class, and that they should win a toe-to-toe fight against almost any template most of the time. However, when I see posts about how Jedi aren't "UBER" enough, it makes me want to join the "nerf the Jedi" chorus.
