I have been searching various Search Engines all day at work trying to find some EU books or documentation on the TKA, with no luck so far. Anyone have any background or source for info on the History and Lore of the TKA?

All I read has been from novels such as Shadowhunter, lead character Darth Maul in which one of the styles he practiced was TKA. Ive also read on some Role Palying books that some jedi practice such an art. But the truth is that it does not say anything more. I myself would like more info, but I think it all comes down to speculation. Someone found a way to defend himself unarmed and the art started.

I also know that it supposedly has techniques like the Rancor, Bantha etc.....(sort of like praying mantis, drunken master, etc....)

If you find anything please post it.

In a world of blasters and space ships, hand to hand combat is usally considered outdated. Espically in the EU novels. But i remember correctly, i read somewhere that Prince Xizor's (i think its Xizor??) only form of attack/self defence is TK. And he is a major player. Also im sure the major combat people are TK masters, or at least adepts.

TKA is Bunduki

They created it to watch the Jedi

We watch Jedi

Make sure they don't abuse their power

We have a TKA council but far more loose and secrective

Basically, the Bunduki's world was ravaged by battle between jedi and dark/sith

They went to another world and started trainning to watch over the jedi because they believed that such power in the hands of so few was too dangerous.

Through concentration of our bodies, we gain god like speed, power, etc

We open our minds and master the force within us.

Therefore, we are resistant to jedi powers.

In what I have read, TKA Masters were feared by the Jedi because we could beat them in combat

Oh and TKA is the fountain of youth. Humans live in excess of 500 years.

Feel free to correct me on any of this because this is off the top of my head

Xizor was a martial artist, not sure if a TKA though. And no, his only way of defense was not unarmed combat. He was also a marks,an. He had his own shooting range to practice such skills.

I read this in the Star Wars website, under Prince Xizor.

I had heard about TKA being a bunduki art. Also something about TKA v. Jedi. And TKA being formidable oponents against Jedi.

Whats this about TKA watching Jedi? What do you mean? Were an organization made to keep a close eye on the Jedi. I thought Jedi were the guardians of peace in the galaxy. I did not know they themselves had guardians, exept for maybe the Republic.

I always thought of TKA as either monks or assasins (hired to kill jedi).

And yes its true, the control TKA have over their bodies allows them to leave for a lot longer than their expected death rate.

As the order of Jedi resurfaces, so do the teachings of teräs käsi, in the form of Arden Lyn, master of teräs käsi. A Palawan warrior from the time of Jedi, her youthfulness belies her actual age. Her skills as one of the last teräs käsi masters has attracted the attention of the Emperor and Darth Vader, who have assigned her to track down and take out key Rebel Alliance personnel. Arden, however, has her own agenda...
