jantas and mokks are all i hunt on dant thats the way i make money when my alt account runs out (i have a crafter to make money when i don't feel like running around beating up the jantas )
also i have gotten a ton of crystals from jantas and mokks in the past days (not selling them as i am waiting for pub 10 to go jedi, but it will break my heart when i have to drop tkm

You can make 36-37k off of enraged rancors on Dath. Better payout than regular rancors. The 39k ones are a waste of time because of the increased spawns.

Janta and mokk missions are your best bet. They are vulnerable to you. Pay good money. I can solo them without the use of any aromr when I am buffed. ( I am master doc so I can heal myself if necessiary.)

Other than look, are there good ways at making decent money as a casual player? Rancor missions were suggested, as they pay 32Kish IIRC. Anything else mission wise?

Go to Dantooine, ask to join a solo group and grab some 32k Mokk or Janta missions...

I vote for Dantooine as well. In the span of a set of buffs, I was able to make about 1.3 million credits. Since the mission payout bug appears to be fixed, at least when I was there, its a lot less stressful too. I also had about half an hour left on my buffs, but I didn't feel like doing any more missions. I probably could've upped that to around 1.5m.
Of course, if you kill some Nightsisters you might loot something worth 5m+, but missions are a lot more reliable.

Janta and Mokk agreed - 30K a mission nice loot (crystals and such) done and dusted in under 2 minutes grab them all together intimedate each one follow up state stacks then spam spin attack.

solo grp and enraged ranc are 39k takes just a few min to do them

the general consensus here seems to be that missions are the best money makers.
i have to disagree...
as long as you keep up with latest resource shifts, and have a few steady customers willing to unload high volumes of resources off of you, pick up scouting skills. go up the hunting tree. whatever meat/hide is in high rotation you should be out hunting. harvest everything you kill.
in 2 days of straight rancor hunting, along with my ranger tracking 4 skills and veghash to improve harvesting, i can get 100k units of rancor meat. when dath carnivore meat is in high stat rotation, i can sell it for 30-40 cpu.
also, missions are a lot of trouble. you need to find a group strong enough to get high end missions. being grouped severly decreases the amout of organics you can harvest per corpse. you also need to constantly travel back and forth from the mission terminals. myself, and a doctor friend can go out rancor hunting literally all day, because he can buff both of us out in the field. just find some random spawn rancors and go to town.

Basically your best bet is the Jantaa and Mokk missions. Any mission that doesnt involve a lair of creatures is good. Camps dont spawn as many mobs and are usually easier to kill.
