I recently have started using the /follow command in PvP combat and noticed it doesn't work too well for me. For instance...I target my opponent, use /follow command and my toon will follow without a problem until my opponent turns or runs passed me (i.e. ranged kiter). Instead of turning and continue to follow him, my character will keep running in the same direction away from my opponent.
Is there something wrong with my configuration or do I still have to use the turn keys while on /follow?
thx in advance

One of two things, you either have huge lag issues (which could happen) or you have your camera set to non follow or what ever that setting is
to fix it try hitting you Del key on your number pad if you have the default keymap.

Follow isn't intended to keep you within melee range of an enemy. It's meant to help you follow a companion without having to manually move your character, like if you're in a group heading to a lair. So it was never "fine-tuned" enough to be effective in battle.

thats not true, in dual, and combat , their was never a follow command till like a month ago or somethin, why else would you follow an enemy, to stay in range.....

Actually follow has exisited since the begining (well of retail can't speak of beta), it is actually one of the default commands on every toolbar when you create your character

Interesting...I have the camera set to on (fixed behind my back). I'll turn it off and test it out. thanks

What the heck is a "group follow"?
And I was in beta 2, follow was in beta as far back as I can remember.

Follow has defaulted to the F11 hot key since beta. It does work sometimes in combat but can be undependable.

Heh heh, thanks for the tip. I tried this last night and it worked great to keep me within range. Annoyed a novice bounty hunter to no end. LOL.

Can be good but don't rely on it too often.. Especially against kiters.. You'd be best just using one of the lunges and get them down on the ground.. But if you need to pop some more food or can't be doing moving at the same time is the only time I happen to use it.
