Thread: Soloing as a TKM

I just made Teras Kasi Master last night, to date the toughest foes that I've taken down have had about 10k HAM but I keep seeing people mentioning on these boards how they've faced very high end mobs, Kimogilas and even Krayts, I know obviously to do this we probably need a full set of buffs and 80% composite but what tactics do people use to take on these kind of enemies?

make sure ya have full mind buffs and high dmg reduce steak...... a good VK, and intimidate, if u have master brawler even better, use intimidate 2 (make enemy miss alot more) and warcry 2 (make enemy delay for 20 sec, meaning they wont hit you!)

A krayt is rather impossible using TKA attacks, unless you have 3.5 hours to burn, I've tried. Kimo, Nyax, 50-70k ham nightsisters, etc... I have soloed with little trouble.
Make sure you intimmidate and keep them intimmidated. Use stun and blind whenever possible. Some people like to go with headhit since it is our strongest directed pool attack but I disagree. Hit3 has a blind built in and if you can pickup some extra melee/ranged defense from another profession sticking intimmidate/blind usually makes there damage meaningless when fully armored and eating synthsteak.

I should add the mobs I have not been able to solo with TKA skills alone.
*Krayts above Juveniles
*Gorax
*Nightsister Elder
*Super Battle Droid
*Anything with 100% kenetic resists

krayat isnt impossible i did it, then some jedi came along...... finished it off lol

Don't ya just hate that? I was at fort tuskin the other day and there was a jedi running around killing everything that moved. I'm currently only a 0/1/2/1 TKA so I'm trying to get some experience and every time I would find a chief or warlord I'd knock it down, start beating on it, then here comes Mr. Jedi to slice it up and steal all my experience. Common, don't they have anything a little more challenging to do?
Okay, that was a bit of a rant, but what would you guys concider a good VK? I think my current one is around 60-155 sliced for 2.2 speed. Got it off the bazaar. So what would be a good one and what should I expect to pay for it?

try the squill cave , monday through friday, weekends jedi are their..... my other friends leved pretty good in their for TK.
dont worry about the cave being empty the spawns are pretty fast in their now

How crowded is the Squill cave? I've never been there. I've been grinding in fort tuskin b/c of the nice loot they drop, but it's getting so as soon as anything spawns there's 4-5 people already on it before it moves. And the spawns are really slow.

squill cave can be crowded at times.... but the new spawn rate helps that..... if your worried about crowded too much, try to go late at night or at server reset and stay for a buffs time or somethin....

Just do the first room of the Geo caves, or take a chance and move into the interior room where 4 crazed geonosians spawn. There's also another room that spawns spiders and crazed geonosians, near one of the NPCs you have to talk to.

i can solo ns protectors... as for ns elders, i was tanking 3 of them all at once for 30 min until they despawned somehow. i can tank a single elder probably indefinately.

That is not soloing it. Soloing a krayt with TKA will take hours, there is no way around it even with 230 max knucklers. I fought one for just over an hour when a rifleman came along and it still took another 20 minutes and I didn't get the loot.
