I was out soloing rancors ysterday for some quick,easy cash.I try to KD it and it constantly sais I failed.I was only able to nail 1 KD.Later on I got over run by rancors, which i couldnt KD or even nail any states (blind,stun, dizzy ect.) and eventually was over run.Is there a bug in KD or are rancors intended to be this way?.And yes, I'm a TKM

I've hunted rancor for maybe 5 lairs this week and been able to knockdown about half of them.

Think you have only had bad luck.

I'd be curious to know if the KD chance is different with different resists. I'm also a Master Swordsman with Master brawler and I can get them to go down like a $2 hooker on a pay day friday using my hammer and lunge2.

But I've also heard Lunge2 KDs more frequently than the other KD specials.

I haven't had much trouble using KD on them or even applying the other states most of the time--but given their weakness versus kinetic, they're quite often pretty much dead by then. As someone else noted, not all rancor are exactly alike, and sometimes some spawn that are a bit tougher.

You have to remember that Creatures have modifiers for vs. knockdown, vs. dizzy, etc just like players do. Also, since this an RPG you also have the element of the dice role. Fighting Crazed Currecks on EndorI've had times where knocked down worked9 out of 10 tries and I've also had times where it was more like 1 out 10.

Yes, although I'm not sure if this is a feature or a bug. If you use KD, then hit KD again while they are knocked down, the person/animal will spring right back up to their feet. This is in PVE, not sure how it works in PVP.

agreed, but in the meantime, its pretty nice cash running from enranged lair to enraged lair bringing 36k+ a pop. Good to see the combat balance is pushed back...time to go make a fortune!

On topic, ive had moderate success with unarmedKD on the rancors. Sometimes i get them on the first try as soon as they spawn, other times i dont get them at all. I just spam unarmedKD2 +unarmedhit3 +unarmedhit3, over and over, until they fall. When they KD, i just spam hit3 cuz it seems that they get up faster if I use KD on them when they are already KDed, has anyone else had this happen

I killed 4 lairs the other day and i only was able to KD one rancor
