It's actually not that bad. With COB fighting equal mobs I take about 75 damage or less. Plus, they miss about 50% of the time. I was hoping for more but that will do. I'll bet that when unarmed weapons become UNARMED WEAPONS TKM will be a pretty formidable adversary in PVE and PVP. Rightnow the only major problem is that we don't do nearly enough damage. Other master professions are doing 1200 damage and I am only doing maybe 650 with advanced combo attack to the same creature. Hence why getting knucklers that work will be a welcomed addition

That is great to hear. Do you have any other trees from other melee professions? I would like to see what kind of damage a TKM could do if mixed with some swordsman.

Unarmed?
I think it would be easier to fight WITH arms. first comes unarmed, then unshouldered, then untorsoed combat. madness, you can stop now.

I never looked at it that way. You would think that using your arms would make the fight a little easier

You're supposed to do less damage than the other professions. Swordsman and Fencer are supposed to outdamage TKM every time. They have better offense, you have better defense.
If you want, grab some Swordsman skills.

I beg to differ...
I also am a TKM in TC-Ep3.
While my defenses at first seem nice, I take a look ath the bigger picture and realize that a swordsman in battle armor is taking less damage than me in total, spending less action, and is out-damaging me... I am not happy.
I am running comparisons for pure TKA vs a Pure Swordsman or Fencer or Rifleman, etc. the rest of my current template is Mbrawler (useless save a bit of UA damage), scout, and some medic.
I haven't been able to test a lot of PvP yet, but I have a feeling PvP will go something like: higher level group wins... lower level group looses... no matter what professions compose the group. If they are 2 groups are maxed out in level, which will now become a PvP necessity, then becuase a TKM burns thru action so fast, faster than any other profession I've run comparisons to so far, we're still screwed even if we get hit less. We won't be able to keep up the damage or the healing (state recovery or medic healing).
Combo sucks compared to basic body hit or leg hit or head hit damage wise and action wise. TK speed is low, as is our accuracy.
So that's: low damage, low speed, low accuracy, and high action cost for fighiting with bare fists...
^%$#%^ that!
Low damage? I'm cool with that.
Low speed? I can punch and kick alot faster than some bozo with a big sword. $%@# that!
Low accuracy? I can hit just as accurately as some imbicil with a knife in his hand. $%@# That!
High action cost? I'm moving just my body, yet it costs less for some nerf herder to swing giant electrified stick? $%#@#%$#$%@W%@%@% THAT!
We only get one state attack, and it is dizzy. However dizzy doesn't appear to do anything at the moment. To mobs, NPC's or players. I'll have to test more, but atm I say "%$@#$%# that!" as well.
Our defense...
If you add it up on paper we get about 10 points of defensive skill more thatn the next guy down. %$#@%@ that!
While it appears out innate armor is working, its not as good as real armor, and real armor doesn't impede the user enough with encumberances to make a difference at master certifications.
Any bozo can still dabble meditate for powerboost and FOW (and there is STILL no benefeit to the meditate tree at master TKA as wound healing is still at meditate 4 as far as I can tell but not 100% sure) %$@# that!
I am not impressed.
Oh yea...
Screw 2-handed! Get a real pre-req for TKA.

I just got novice tk and I am very happy
My surviability raised a lot
TK innate armor, defenses, damage, acurracy and speed (5 but is ok)
If we be what we are supposed to be, (attack 3, defense 5 and crowd control 1) i will be glad.
And looks like we are going to this goal!
Niceeeee

Yea, our action costs are way too high. That's a huge problem. People who are wearing armor should be expending a LOT more action to do specials than us. Our damage should get better when we get some real weapons to use. The animations are pretty weak so far, sometimes you get a good one but most of the time it's pretty basic.

Anyone know if Meditate will be the same? Any info on this would be great. Just wondering if alot of melee people will pick up TK 4000 like before?
