It's defensive skills. Block/ranged def/melee def/counterattack/etc
It doesn't affect accuracy and such.
It would be nice for a definite answer on this. As a pre-patch TKM I could walk into a mob of famished sludges and wreak havoc... Now, post-patch,I must run for my life (unbuffed of course). Just doesnt seem right.

This is my understanding from all the info provided on the forums and about 500 kills of mobs on endor since the patch.
Defence mods ranged/melee no longer stack accross professions, they apply only to the weapon you are weilding, ie if you get +40 melee defence as a pistoleer and +50 as a rifleman, you will have +90 listed in your mods, but in actual fact you will only have 40 with a pistol equipped and 50 with a rifle equipped and nothing with a carbine equipped.
Static defence mods dodge/counter/block/acuity still stack and work no matter what weapon u have equippedbut have a hard cap at +120.
That again is NOT correct please read what the Dev's wrote.
Capped (hard cap of 125) but still stacking as designed.

Your are completely ass backwards.
There are 3 primary groups of defenses within this game.
Ranged/Melee defenses...... I think as a community scanning the various threads no one is yet entirely sure if this was capped or not. It does seem to be the case, note the post above. Pre-patch situation the BH wouldn't of landed a shot at all. The cap on these defenses is set to +125.
Ranged / Melee defenses are NOT weapon specific. They stack regardless of weapon used.
Dodge/Counterattack/Block...... These are "secondary defenses" as where ranged/melee defenses are primary defenses. At any rate these particular defenses also still stack, but are capped as well at +125. These defenses are also weapon specific. Meaning the defense only activates if you are using a weapon from a profession that grants you these defenses. Unlike ranged / melee defense.
Defense Vs"X".......... These defenses determine what your "chance" is to be affected by whatever state you have the defense for. For instance having a +50 Defense vs KD, you will have a 50% chance to not be knocked down by such a manuever. These were never deemed to be in any way overpowered by the devs. And as such have not been nerfed at all. In addition per publish 6, we were all given access to defense vs X type foods.

no TKA was not nerfed...infact gain a bonus to hit ranged weapon equippedtargets..if i read that correctly heh
so TKA are infact enhanced this patch
capped at 125? My Melee defense is still +136. I mean, the code might still compute and add ALL my defense together to get that number, but only really equal 125.
Devs, we need some hard answers here!
I have to agree that the Jawa Ion rifle and theCombat Medic mind poison are indeed unballanced in PVP.
I dont mind to much and I dont want them to get nerfed but it is a fact.
