Hello all,

First of all, let me tell everyone that I'm having a great time with TKA It is by far the most exciting thing that I have ever done in my entire SWG career!!!!!!! Now, I would like to mention what on M-BH told me. He said that it might be a good idea to do DIZZY before KD because then it would be harder for apponent to get up. Is this true? I'm currently a 2-2-4-3 and I think that what he said makes sense to me. I have been told by many TKA's to do just the opposite. What do you guys think?

Well if you do not have balance 4. I recommend applying a dizzy first before any posture changes. However if your quick enough to tag a downed opponent with a dizzy when they are on the floor. By all means do so!

So if the target is standing. Dizzy + KD. If they are already on the floor and not dizzyed. Well... then smack them untill they see swirlies!! So, KD + Dizzy.

Yeah, in short. Both work. It just depends on what is tactically a good idea at the time.

Ok, first dizzy doesn't do anything to creatures.

Against NPCs (ie. rebel troopers) and PvP it does work.

First, it doesn't matter if you dizzy/KD or KD/dizzy.

If you Dizzy and then Fail to KD, you KD again, and again, and again until you do get them down. At this point they are Dizzy and on the ground, and it's very hard to stand up.

If you KD, then hit your dizzy... well you have about 1 shot of getting your dizzy to land. If it fails they stand up... and now you have 30 seconds before you can KD again.

So... Dizzy first, and keep hitting dizzy until it lands. Then KD spam until that lands. And there you go. Throw a warcry after you KD, that's fun too

I use Dizzy first then KD2 when fighting NPCs, just cause I want to make sure the dizzy sticks. I usually wait after the KD to make sure it's dizzy, which it usually is. Every once and a while though you'll get a stuborn NPC who doesn't want to get dizzy. Every once and a while I'll also switch up to a Dizzy + KD1 + Dizzy + Warcry + UH2 x2 most humanoids don't live past this.

That's not 100% true. If they get back up hit em with dizzy then do unarmed lunge. Posture down is ghetto KD when they are dizzy.

In PvE I often get dizzy to stick before using knockdown against NPCs because the resist it so frequently. In PvP you often don't have this chance - you get one hit that will determine the outcome, better make it a good one. If fighting another melee it might make sense to stick dizzy first. If your method of closing the distance to a ranged opponent was lunge, if you can dizzy them while they're still kneeled they will fall down when/if the try to stand. It all depends on the circumstances.

The most important thing is forcing them into a situation where they are dizzy and cannot fire or defend themselves without doing a posture change. KD2 used to be the most effective way of achieving that and still is against many but Pistoleers and some othermelees have an excellent chance to resist one or both effects of the attack.

Also, consider getting some stat bonus clothes to warcry. Stick warcry before you do anything else in PvP. At that point, you have 10 seconds (10 attacks) to do whatever you like to them.

HEHE sticking Warcry is awsome but the chances of it working are slim sometimes IMO. As for the Lunge though, that forces your oppenent to take knee in PVP right? This ghetto version of KD allows you how long before tgiving them dizzy or KD, which would you do firsT?

Zulaika (getting convinced that KD/DIZ or DIZ/KD will work either way. BUT THINKING HARD ABOUT LUNGE now. (HOW EFFECTIVE IS IT BTW?)

usually 1 - 4 seconds before they realize that they are kneeling. But I usually use that time to close and slap em with a Dizzy then KD, after that 90% of the time it's lights out. Lunge is really only effective if you already have someone dizzy that manages to stand back up, or you get the dizzy on but they get out of range for the KD.

It's Ghetto KD, but it's effective. Not worth relying on lunge + KD though.

That's why you get Bio engineered clothing with warcry bonuses.

If you are wookie I'm not sure what you can wear. Otherwise get some +warcry/intimidation clothes put into a shirt.

Just a note.. it was changed to 5 seconds, not 30.

Also, I personally use a +17 warcry/intim shirt... I usually do KD, warcry, hit spam... Most of the time my warcry lands and it works. I actually do this more than dizzy because I don't have a "dizzy +17" shirt heh--it takes longer for a dizzy to stick than a warcry it seems on higher up mobs. And the 10 second KD is really all I need to finish off a pesky SpellWeaver or whatever

I should also note, for NightSisters my usual tactic is CoB while running to them so they don't snipe ya on the way in... Intimidate spam when I get close... I let 2 intims land usually then clear the rest qued, then I do what I said above. So if they DO get back up they only hit me for like 40-60 points dmg.
