please show me how to go up the tka line

plz show me how to master teras kasi in 4 days, so that they devs nerf me

its not so much that so many people are tka, thats great, its the freakin posts!!!
For the past few weeks, half our boards has been clogged with posts asking about how to level unarmed 4 or to tkn, TKN! for the love of <insert your god(s)>

oh, btw, i've been tka since the launch

So you levelled unarmed with a VK, and got TKN with a VK...you probly wouldn't find it so easy to dismiss these concerns if you went back and did it again without a VK. TKA since launch eh? A lot has changed since launch...

Hehe, glad i read your while post, i had lots of different things to say and make fun of you. But your right, i hate seeing TK become flavor or th month and all the uber leet doods now. At least we are CH's though... geez that is a class that shouldn't exist countless countinuity reasons.

HeHe I am seeing Smugglers think they are the flavor of the month. I am seeing Bounty hunters complain about being the flavor of the month. I am seeing commandos complain about being the flavor of the month. I am now seeing TKA complain about being the flavor of the month. they cant all be flavor of the month maybe combat is slowing starting to be balanced and everyone is afraid that since they are now viable everyone will flock to them.

ok, so you completely missed my point, i said it was pointless to ask people how to level unarmed because its been too long, and many things have changed. I didn't dismiss these concerns either, i dismissed the notion thatpeople need fill half our message board with "how do i level up"

Wow, must be hard being so 1337 that you can't even throw a new guy a bone. I can understand about being upset by numerous posts asking the same questions, but **edit**, don't take it out on new folks who might be legitimately interested in the profession.

After mastering Doctor and Pistoleer on two servers (re-rolled on a new server to be with RL friends), I got insanely bored with Pistoleer. Out of all the other combat classes, TKA looked to be the most exciting and seemed to fit where I wanted to go with my toon, so I've been slowly dropping Pistoleer skills to accomodate unarmed. I've read these boards for a while, but never posted here, but at least I know not to now if I have any "1337 n00b" questions.

Hey, TKA correspondent, could you possibly sticky a "How to level unarmed" FAQ post so I don't have to see 50 posts each day asking how to level unarmed cluttering up our board?

Because it sounded more like:
I don't want to be the flavor of the month, I want to be the only 1337 tankx0r d00d!


Additionally:
With so many new people, I bet some of them are busy moving up the TKA tree, and do remember levelling without a VK, and can perhaps help others trying to do so.

In conclusion:
Get ready for a lot more of the aforementioned posts, if CH is nerfed as badly as it should be you're going to have tons of people who want to play the tank coming in here (basically anyone who got just enough CH for a graul mauler). Personally, I think player tanks are a move in the right direction, and will encourage more grouping, however it will mean TKA becomes a much-player class, with many people taking it solely for the defensive capabilities. Whether that's a good thing or not is up in the air. CH's get fast dev responses because probably 1/3-1/2 the player base has CH skills. They also get scrutinized the most for it.

Hah! tkn, that's hilarious.

But people will turn around and go to the next thing that gets buffed. So, soon enough you shall be free of the plague of newbs flocking to TKN.

Just so you guys know, there IS a comprehensive FAQ coming. It's finished all except for the new /tank-like ability coming, so it'll be released once that's out and we have a valid understanding of it. It'll stickied and should eliminate a lot of repeat posts. My entire Dojo is testing it and Mistery Heavy and I are working on it together since he's not only the correspondant, but a great guy how knows a lot about the profession and game mechanics. It'll be out probably within one week's time.

Listen up..let them grind the unarmed...let the devs nerf us...I was a TK novice when this started...sac'd it and then decided that BH is not fun. Did the TK grind again. I did the grind after the KD nert and before the KD fix. Now with the stat bug it has made some fighting a little tricky, but by being a smart user of the arts of war, battle, call it what you will....I welcome anyone grinding the xp...ok..they want meditate line...have fun grinding for hours and hours and days and maybe months. Sure a pet can tank, but a true TK artist will not follow the path of get meditation cause it is cool..sure power boost is nice, but most of you combat masters have a mind pool of 500-700 maybe..and with armor on that goes down. SO sure get powerboost and force of will...it takes lvl 4 meditation to even truely benefit from the healing abilities...grind the 125k novice, 175k lvl 1, 250k lvl2, 350k lvl 3 and 450k lvl 4. Go ahead and grind away..with out power techniques or balance or even percision strike it will take you a long time to do it with a pet..and to do it without a pet. And when you finally have your meditation master....you will see that perhaps the 15pts in novice medic with adv med packs b lvl would have been shorter and pay 25k for a med droid to dish it to you in the field. Listen folks your 700 mind only gives you 350 added to your health/action/mind pools so your 1000 health is 1350/900 action is 1250 and mind pool 1050 for about..7-10 mintes depending on lvl of meditation...masters get a higher meditation ability. Then go fight...oh hope you plan the fight ahead of time...what? you ate food to make your mind plus 900 more..okay when that wears off you will lose 900 instantly due to the new bug....so if you grind the whole thing out...ask yourself this....was it worth the 20points to get it and the time you spent on it. get a doctor buff and use spice and save yourself 20 pts and months of time to realize that without the other tk arts you are not that effective. However if you grind it all out with just the meditation line...I commend your dedication and lack of job to invest such time into the fighting...do you realize that you will die or incap more without other tk arts...and if you switch to guns ro pet to save you...you lose pts and then have down time to heal. Seek it somewhere else...now if you were a commando that took the pwr line to lvl 4...and maybe kd 1 then...that is a tactic I can see working to save you when your flame shot misses. Let them see the pain to get it...then realize that they will get bored with having to just grind it...and one last thing..there is no ubber class character they all have their purpose and balance...yes I am a tk master...wil i get kitted? maybe, but if i land that knd2 then game over...if kited..i run in opposite dirction to find a building to run into...come one in to the building...close quarters is a TK masters dream we love the warren
