I read a post somewhere that master tka are getting +25 terrain negotiation, was wondering if someone can lend proof to this statement. Thanks

I don't know about that. I made a post suggesting every elite brawler class get terrain negotitiaton. We have the endurance to take close range hits and all, but we can't navigate hills and such.

Honestly +25 is too small considering combat medics get +40.

Thanks for clearing that up, I'm going to have give up all my scout skills to become TKA master because I'm already Master commando. Hopefully this won't be too big a problem with creature mounts coming out soon, but would have been nice to have.

Does that mean if i get my master TKA i can unlearn all the points i put into scout exploration so i can actally run up a hill?

Don't Combat Medics actually just get +10?

No we don’t get 40 or 10...we get 50 . We also get 25 (I think its 25..I know we get some) burst run efficiency to!!

Yup the only class that doesn't need scout or scout skills as a prereq to get master scout level terrain negotion. This, imho, was an oversight in design that is too late to fix now that the game is live.

before you do, I have not seen any official comment about it.

The previous posts said it was a suggestion only.

Right now (unless someone on test can prove it wrong) the only way to get terrain negotiation is to have explore in scout or be a combat medic (which I don't think should have it anyways as most of there stuff is ranged already). I think also you can get benifit of terrain negotiation by being in a group led by a squad leader (but that is probably broken as well).

So would not drop your scout yet, I had to drop all the way to explore 1 in scout and on hills I get left behind all the time even by kiting NPC's and creatures. Just have to deal with it.

We really could do with some sort of bonus to terrain negotiation, but then every combat profession will want it as well, and then scout will lose a skill that is supposed to be fairly unique to them.

For info on those unaware terrain negotiation up to +50 is for hill climbing, above that is for increasing speed moving while prone.

CMs get +40 just like you get with exploration 1-4, and they get +10 burst run efficiency.

I've also read somewhere that mounts will have the same terrain negotiation as the owner, if this is true then that just sux a fattyboombatty.

Nope, at least not at release. Check the dev chat at stratics. The mounts won't have terrain negotiaion and will take damage but cannot attack. There will be no armor at release for mounts. Anyone know what hapens when you use a knockdown on amount on test center? How does it affect the rider?
