Deal with it.
If you want an elite elite brawler prof, you have one : Jedi.

I've been a TKA since a few months after the official release and I have a couple suggestions:
--TKA's have traditionally been a secretive organization of supernatural martial artists who's purpose was to keep the Jedi in check. Either get rid of the name "Teras Kasi Artist" or give us some force resistance like we're supposed to have. Call us "Unarmed Specialists" or something if not. Teras Kasi Artist is a cool name andit's convenient for meshing the game with the SW storyline, however it simply corrupts the gameplay in so many ways.Pleasemake us cooler than the rest of the melee like we're supposed to be and make it harder to become one. Please don'twater us down and corrupt the storyline of the Teras Kasi Order. Something I don't like about this profession is that there's SO MANY of us. TKA are not supposed to be so numerous. There shouldn't be many more of us than there are Jedi. I wouldn't mind having to work MUCH harder to become one. I think the Jedi thing is overdone in so many ways and I would be HAPPY to work almost as hard as it takes to become a Jedi to become something nearly as effective yet far less overrated.
---Make an "Unarmed Specialist" profession instead of Teras Kasi Artist. Then, make a TKA novice class that costs all of our remaining skillpoints but isan "Elite Elite" class (above Unarmed Specialist). Create NPCs with difficult missions to become a Teras Kasi Novice including Jedi NPC killing missions (to balance the force of course). Make the words "Teras Kasi Artist" mean something! As of now it's just a word for a profession that punches things really hard (unarmed specialist?).It could be so much morethough.I'd rather not have a cool name in order to preserve the storyline value of the Teras Kasi Order.
/agree
I think what they should do is make us master two professions, maybe the first being Teras Kasi Student, the next Teras Kasi Artist, then let us go on to the last Teras Kasi prof: Teras Kasi Master. Using all the skill points to master all three, it wouldn't be very strong till you did all three, but that way there wouldn't be fake Teras Kasis running around.
After mastering the last profession we could get the ability to hunt down Dark Jedi PCs. After all, that's what the order was made for; to police the Jedi and punish those that get out of line.
Anyway there's my two credits. Thanks for reading it.
- Kill a creature as powerful as a Rancor with his bare hands.
- Draw on mystical powers to raise his own health, action, and mind (Power Boost).
- Re-capacitate from an unconscious state (Force of Will).
- Use the power of his mind to heal wounds negating the need for actual medicines. (Meditate).
- Rid his body of toxins, disease, and poisons without medicine(Meditate).

Echani - NOTE: References in KotoR suggests the Echani are or were a nation of warlike humans like the Mandalorians 5000 years before the movies and their style is named after them.
Echani is a martial arts style that became the official technique of Emperor Palpatine's Royal Guards. The style is thought to have its origins in the style practiced by the Sun Guards of Thyrsus, but Palpatine had experts modify the original techniques to make them more deadly. The brutal echani style is full of jabs, chops, kicks, and other quick and dangerous strikes, focusing on deadliness over finesse.
K'tara
K'tara is a martial arts style often practiced by Special Forces units in order to maximize damage to an opponent while minimizing the amount of noise made by the attack. K'tara focuses on short quick motions. Most maneuvers begin from the set position and move within a small rectangle framed by the target's shoulders and hips. A soldier using the K'tara style can quietly disarm an opponent and reduce him to unconsciousness within a single round of combat, attracting little attention. This martial arts style emphasizes stealth.
K'thri
K'thri is a special martial arts style that dates back to the days of the Old Republic, but has survived into The New Jedi Order era. The style gained popularity in many parts of the Galactic Republic as a type of sport. Professional athletes competed to see who had the greatest mastery over the style, with some competitors garnering great wealth and fame from their success. The style is somewhat flashier than others, since its practitioners were often entertainers as much as martial artists. The K'thri style focuses on speed and rapid, fluid attacks, with wide sweeping motions accompanying quick jabs and a good deal of fancy footwork.
Stava
The Noghri fighting style known as Stava has spread throughout the galaxy since the liberation of the Noghri from the grip of the Emprire. Unlike some species-specific martial arts, the Noghri have been able to teach their particular style of fighting to Humans, Twi'lek, and even Wookiees. The style is very physical, often bringing the combatants into close contact. Stava combat utilizes full-body tackles, throws, and full-arm blows, as well as the powerful jabs and snap kicks commonly used in instances where close combat is ineffective. Stava is a quick and dangerous style, and in unarmed combat an opponent using it can often act before the target has a chance to react.
Wrruushi
Wookie warriors have crafted a special style or fighting that combiens their incredible strength with precise motions to perfect a martial arts form unique to their species. The style, known as Wrruushi, cannot be taught to the members of other species. The style not only allows the use of lethal force but also gives Wookiees options beyond simply smashing their opponents. In fact, one of the main focuses of the style is the ability to disable an opponent instead of killing him. Since much of the Wookiee's strength is in her upper body, the martial arts style focuses heavily on punches, jabs, and throws. Unlike the quicker martial arts styles, Wrruushi focuses more on single strikes, no more than two or three at a time.
Teras Kasi
The martial arts form known as Teras Kasi is an extremely rare ancient art. The form's origins are found on the world of Bunduki in the Pacanth Reach, populated by a near-Human species known as the Epicanthix. The Followers of Palawa are a secretive sect of hermits that guard the teachings of Teras Kasi. It is unknown whether or not the Followers created the martial arts style, but nearly all Teras Kasi masters learned the style by journeying to Bunduki to learn from these keepers. The name Teras Kasi actually means "steel hands," referring to the damage toughness of the martial artist's unarmed attacks. The style focuses on power and strength, including varying levels of damage depending on the force that is applied to the attacks. The style is unique, and masters are few and far between.

Problem -
With so many different possible martial arts, a great deal of time would have to be invested on making all the unique stances and strikes and scaling them to each race playable. Obviously, Wrruushi would be a wookiee-only style.
Some possible solutions -
1.) Change Teras Kasi profession name to something broader such as "Martial Artist" (or any combination of synonyms) and allow players to roleplay being a disciple of whatever martial art they choose.
Ex: I'm a wookie, fear my Wrruushi fury!
2.) Do the above and allow for elite-elite martial arts professions to be learned after Master Martial Artist. Implementation of these new elite-elite martial arts could be done sometime in the undetermined future (depending on how vocal the community is). From a business perspective this may be good in theory but bad in that this suggests an entire "Martial Arts Publish" when anything outside lightsaber use was never a significant part of any of the Star Wars movies and there are more pressing issues such as the GCW to concentrate on.
3.) Leave it how it is and just ignore the existence of any other martial arts in the Star Wars universe.
In conclusion, I have no bias this subject. I am simply providing information and possible solutions. Allow yourselves to take this information in and see what you can do with it.
