Ok, so 161 people have pledged to cancel accounts. Who cares. SONY is making over 7500000 off of this game per month (Assuming all of the preorders stay on). The 2500 they will lose a month from our class is no big deal right? Well... Lets get this out to a bigger audience! Here is what you do. I am posting the e-mail address to PC Gamer. Please e-mail them exactly how you feel. I will provide a sample letter below, but please feel free to get creative with yours. For every person who writes into magazines or newspapers they say 1000 feel the same but never speak up... so lets get heard and try to hit them where it hurts. Bad reviews and nasty articles will at least make us feel better right? (If anyone has other great e-mail addresses please post them. Also post your own sample letters, BUT PLEASE KEEP THEM AS CLEAN AS POSSIBLE! Please do not get this thread locked)

Sample letter:

Dear PC gamer staff, I am writing to hopefully get the word out on the current trend of SWG. I have been playing a class in SWG for a month now and logged in yesterday to find my account useless. We were utterly destroyed by the devs with a "Shut up and color" response.The level of anger amongst subscribers is too much to be described in one letter, but if you would click the link provided you will see people sacrificing thereaccounts in order to get one good shot in on a dev. I warn you some of the threads are amazingly rough. I hope that you can findit in your heart to run something in next months magazine in order to prevent others fromfalling into the trap that is SWG! This is the only way they will ever learn their lesson.

Now my letter is not for everyone to use, merely what I sent in my letter. pleaseEVERYONE take two seconds tosend out your own e-mail., If they are flooded, they will have to at least consider running something. A nipet, or one of our letters will make the letters section. Anything is a shot to SOE.

Also please post any e-mail addys you have that should get a copy of our e-mail! And to keep this thread floating please chime in when you do. Thanks!

i wish i had writing skills or i would send a letter.but you got my support in the petistion.

Just copy and paste mine! Change a few words, but send a letter! THis will work on ly if everyone does it. No magazine cares If I write in, but if 150 people write in on the same day about the same thing... and they look at these boards... how could they resist? Have you seent the topics on some of these threads? THis forum is getting shut down! I wont be surprised if we log on this morning and the TK class as a whole is gone!

what should be put as the subject?any idea or should it vary so they just dont blindly delete one type of email.thinking its flooding.

Absolutely BRILLIANT! PC Gamer will rip SOE A new hole with this kind of material! And when that happens, sales are sure to peter off extremely quickly because of the vast power that magazine has on gamer's spending (like me, this is only the second PC game I have ever bought without reading their review... bad move as it turns out!).

Look what happened to WWII online when they got ripped a new one, or Anarchy Online... AO was bugged to **edit** and when the PCG review came out giving them a mediocre score and stated that it was chock full of bugs, the AO dev team got around to fixing the bugs... months later when PCG acknowledged thatAO was fun to play again because the bugs were fixed, sales picked back up.

Everyone take the time to write to PC Gamer with a short, informative letter stating that your character class of choice has been rendered useless and that you as well as others are cancelling their account if they are not fixed, then be sure to cite the URL to the petition on this board. With any luck our voice will be heard =)

That is a point I didnt mention... PCGamer is reliable and holds amazing power over readers. Try reading two magazine reviews on a game you are familiar with. PC gamer will always be the most accurate. THey are brutally honest, and give props where they are due. They love to save their readers with low budgets from spending cash on things that suck. If they print it I listen. This time I had game before I read their review... should have waited.... But they will not ignore you... so please... you dont have to write a page, just a paragraph saying you are unhappy. THey will get the idea when they are flooded with e-mails. THe well written e-mails will make up for the short ones.

Here's what I wrote:

Hi there, first off I love the mag, you guys are like a fine wine, as you have just gotten better and better over the years. I'm writing to you not just to praise you though; I humbly ask a favor of you. Please take the Sony Online Entertainment development team for Star Wars Galaxies to task for their recent actions. The game has been buggy since release to be sure (many have jokingly proclaimed us to be "paying for beta") but what happened yesterday to my character was absurd. After a large update, I logged on to find that my Master Teras Kasi Artist character (max skill in unarmed combat) had been rendered near useless. The costs on my knockdown special, which is the "bread and butter" attack that my class depends were so costly that I nearly kill myself by attacking any enemy once.

Myself as well as well as my other fellow Teras Kasi asked the developers what the deal was and recieved nothing more than a "shut up and deal with it" response. This is unacceptable. Myself as well as over a hundred others thus far have pledged to cancel our accounts if this nonsense prevails, but I know that you folks at PCG hold far more power than an angry segment of a games populace. Please consider our plight when you form your review to SWG. "You're our only hope".

how the truth hurts. I love this game but if these kinds of changescontinue to take place, i wont be able to hold my positiveness towards this game and the devs who do work hard. (it just seems like they are working in all the wrong areas whats the point of a story line if no one wants to play?? )
