Thread: After TKA Novice....?

There's several posts about how to get the Unarmed xps, what to fight, etc, but I can't seem to find any good posts about what to kill after you make TKA Novice. I'm 0/0/1/2, and I love being a TKA, along with having Flame Thrower 4 as a backup in case I bite off more than I can chew. Problem is....what to kill for good xps ? Worrts and Rills are useless for xps, Vynocks and Gurrcats aren't bad but still are only worth a few hundred. Pikets are still out of my range - for now. So what do I hunt for decent xps, meaning 1k-2k a pop, without having me rest for 10 minutes in between each and every kill ?

pikets should not be out of your range.

i kill pickets, ronto, banthas, bocatts, canibal dewbacks and many many others UNbuffed and solo, and i am just 1/1/1/1 in Teras Kasi.

take on some of the bigger (yellow and red) cons and just make sure you are using good tactics. you can use a knock down / warcry combo against four-legged creatures and they will stay down for the 5 seconds of knock down and another 10 for the warcry, then you can just POUND on them

just a suggestion

After TKN i think you should go to Dantooine, get hurrton huntress or hurrton howler missions and just keep doing that, they give about 3500 unarmed exp and 400 combat. They are easy to kill, and if you get a set of buffs you should be able to hunt them non stop until buffs run out.

this is an excelent suggestion as well. i just have a hard time fighting the same creature over and over. i like to mix it up to keep it interesting for me. but agian, this is a GREAT idea, you will in fact get some great XP this way

Thanks, everyone...keep the advice coming, I'm sure there's more new TKA's out there than just me who are tired of slapping around Cu Pas. I never do any of the combo stuff like War Cry and Knock-Down ....guess I should, lol....

KD+warcry is awesome. I'm 2/1/2/1, and I can take out mountain squills. Now I'd be happy if I could just get missions for them.

I get missions for them because I also have Commando Flame Thrower 4, so I equip that then visit the mission term and it gives me missions based of that skill. Of course, I can't do many of them with my novice TKA, but like I said before, I haven't been doing combos, just going toe-to-toe with the critters. Not always a good idea, lol.

Chown2, try equipping the best weapon / skill you have and then clicking on the mission term. You should get some pretty nice ones .

Thanks, but I started developing this character as a TKA/doctor. TKA is his only combat profession.

By the way, powerboost is awesome.

i'm 1,3,1,3 in tka (i just want the title tk monk) going for master. tuskens and squill caves are great for xp. go to the squill caves and then the tusken bunker not far from the caves and just go back and forth. but you're gonna want a group to do that too. by the time you finish with one the other has already respawned. good luck dude.

problem with the Tusken Fort is I cannot solo anything but raiders and commoners ( I am only novice) I was in a 20 person group last night and by the time I got 3 hits in most things were dead and as you can imagine this did not result in 2k-3k xp only a few hundred. but in an hour or two I did get about 30k xp. I have to have full buffs or I get taken out easily. I have 2 questions....

Does anyone know if there are VKs with low to no HAM cost? mine are 39 54 39 And should I go knockdown or dizzy first?

I've been fighting Greater Desert Womp Rats for 2200XP each. Sure, I could go to Dantooine, but I'm too lazy to travel.
