Thread: Uber Teras Kasi, AKA-Teras Kasi God: Elite Elite Profession?

The Law of Diminishing Returns comes into play here. The more points you devote to TKA the less you get out of it. Meanwhile, you have to sacrifice points in another profession, giving you less balance.

I doubt that anyone so devoted to the perfection of their mind and body would fritter away their life in such political pursuits as a galactic civil war, or running missions for local governments. The Uber Kaboober Teras Kasi would not be a practical profession for Star Wars Galaxies.

But you can dream.

Its true, the ones I lost against were healing and using pets while I ran around the city.

The ones I beat didn't heal and had no pets out. I still attribute it to the fact that they thought they had an easy kill, and dumb luck that I was able to Dizzy and Unarmed Lunge one to the ground. They also spammed moves to hurt their HAM (fortunately I had 1000 Mind).

I understand what you all are saying though. Without healing I would have died in both encounters...even though I did in the first, but it would have been sooner. But even with enough skills in Medic for Stim D's and Scout for terrain negotiation, there are still A LOT of points left over. For now I'll try smuggler again. But I would like to devote more to Teras Kasi if I could, maybe "Power Up" existing abilities.

Since the developers flat out refuse to adhere to the Star Wars universe and make the existing Teras Kasi as powerful as they are truely supposed to be, an elite elite profession is certainly long overdue. Perhaps a profession of "Palawan" could be added.

I would love to see a Elite Elite TK. (maybe like Teras Kasi Ascended, Or Templar, or Priest)

How about we get to ditch the VK with that skill tree and we get unarmed bonus' (or atleast an 'item' that doesnt show up, so it looks like we are barehanded)

I think they should make it so ALL professions can be true and eat up all your skillpoints, the current combonations we have now are quite un starwarsy.

An elite elite would definitely be something i would invest a lot of time into. If we were actually able to do some more cool things with teras kasi, like get boosts to run (not burst run) or dodge training ( say for example every time u fight a ranged character you get xp towards not getting hit by ranged chars or even resists to it)

just some thoughts . . dont think it will ever happen but it would be kool as all hizzeelllll

i'd rather not see the profession become another FOTM after so many whined and surrendered their points when KD got fixed.

I will have to say that I have been many things...Master Medic (x3), Bio-Engineer, Rifleman, Smuggler, Doctor (x3), Architect, Weaponsmith, and Creature Handler...and I can honestly say I love Teras Kasi the best.

I would like to know if you think it would be a good idea to impliment an Elite Elite Profession for the Teras Kasi (like City Planner for Architect), or at the very least devote more points to Teras Kasi. I am a Master, but wish really I could just devote every last skill point to Teras Kasi.

As much as people whine about it, I have had about a 50/50 success rate with Anti-Griefing (going to Grief spots and waiting for Imperials to attack me). I got taken out the other night by 2 guys (Bounty Hunter and Master Doctor) with 4 pets out total, but came close to incapping the BH, but several nights ago took out 2 guys (BH and Pistoleer) in a Starport who attacked without provocation.

Teras Kasi is just so much fun. I don't care what anyone else here says. I am a novice PvPer, but each victory/defeat teaches me something that makes me think of new ways to try and use my abilities.

I am happy to hear of your victories over the marksmen, but if you beat a BH and pistoleer at the same time, I guaruntee you they were blundering novices. Especially if you nearly incapped that BH with the medic and pets, again, they were blundering novices. And I don't mean that in PvP skill alone, but interms of skill acquired in the BH profession. You will NOT easily take out a skillful BH..and it's just that simple. But keep up the good work!

I have the same satisfaction with TK. The only thing else I have is scout/ranger (master ranger now). Everything else is going into TK to achieve master and the remaining 18 points are going into CH for what little pet-handling improvement I can have.

I enjoy the moves more, I like being able to have to use multiple skills as opposed pistoleers spamming fan shot or bounty hunters spamming eye-shot, etc etc...

And having dueled several pure melee (unarmed, one hand, two hand, polearm), it's so much more fun than running in circles firing a weapon.

For anyone who cares, there is a way to solo graul maulers and frenzied grauls as TKA, or any creature for that matter that dont have those moves that always do a set amount of damage. The key is a healthy diet

Healthy diet eh? Well just tell me what I should be eating and I will visit the nearest Chef! Haha!

I have to agree with what was said earlier. I would like to see it be possible to spend ALL your points in one profession. Not required of course, but an option. For me there are few, if any, I am set on. A Medic's use of Stims is important unless you have a friend, and Terrain Negotiation from Scout is not as useful since PvP all occurs in town (and once Speeders come into play who cares about that walk to a mission!).

But I am of the camp for not taking away Vibroknuckles, I am in the camp of adding in MORE unarmed weapons. Perhaps specific exotic melee weapons that add to Unarmed. That way we Teras Kasi can be a little more individualistic. I can only hope something like this would be included when they add in more guns.

I posted this in another thread. Here is a thought on TKA Elite Elite.

Focus on the A of the title. We are Artists. What we all want to be is a Teras Kasi Warrior. I suggest that when Elite-Elite professions are rolled out, that the TKA get's a new elite-elite profession called the Teras Kasi Warrior. So here would be the four tracks. Track 1. Defensive.(blocking and hardening, reduce health costs for all manuvers) Track 2. Offensive. (Focus on attacks while moving, recude Action Costs for all manuvers) Track 3. Exotic Weapons. (Each level gets a new weapon) Track 4. Mental Techniques (reduce Mind costs for manuvers)

Then when this is done you can modify the TKA tree a bit.Meditation could then add a skill which would be like the dancers flourishs where a TKA could meditate/practice his manuvers by doing a martial arts routine. So the Artist who is 'meditating' would /startTKARoutine and then perform the manuvers of the TKA to put on a martial arts show. XP gained would be like the dancers/musicians track, you would get reduced unarmed combat XP for doing each manuver you did along with meditation XP which could only be used on the meditation skill (like Music and Entertainer_healing XP). Now when you get to TKW you can no longer use the XP from meditate manuvers to advance, the only way to get XP for the TKW would be to defeat someone/thing in combat.

Of course this would all need to be balanced, but this approach is a lot more realistic towards a martial artist/warrior as well as fixes many of the problems with the TKA tree.

I like that idea TedTschopp. Well all except the flourishes. The realm of entertaining should still belong to the Entertainers.

I know a LOT of people want to find the ULTIMATE Solo machine, and that usually results in the Medic/CH/Combat Class. But I would find it VERY amusing to actually have a single focus. My PA is getting large enough now that I don't have to worry about acting alone. I have successfully weaned myself off of CH (though Medic is still a crutch) which is a big point free'er upper. And once Speeders are released (or Pet Rides for non-CH), my Scouting Navigation can get the boot too. It would be a great idea, I think, to impliment this sort of Elite-Elite class. As the name suggests its not for everyone, but just for those dedicated obsessed few who want to take it to THAT level.
