Thread: The Balancing Acts for Teras Kasi Masters (READ)
First lets scrap combo it sucks willy wonkas.
Instead : Bleed Hit 1 and Bleed Hit 2
Now all we have for master is Unarmed hit 3
one solution -
We can have stances. Stances will have to be taught and you can only have one stance at a time. You can unlearn the stance at anytime but it takes time to unlearn and learn it again. Also you can only use it every once in a while kind of like the Zabrak's equilibrium move. Except the timer should be cut in half cause who wants to wait to use these sweet moves.
Bantha Stance - When the stance is engaged we can become a very good tank meaning our defense can rise considerably.
Gurrcat Stance - When the stance is engaged we are able to run at incredible speeds and have a follow #2 of a sort where we can stay on the target constantly hitting it without it getting out of our range. A sticky move on our target ...
Peekoo Stance - Alot more damage , but very low defense.. kind of like berserk except it will be better and wurst seeing that the offense will be increased dramatically but our defense won't
Crystal Snake Stance - When this stance is engaged we will go into a stealth... no one will be able to see us on radar and we will have some sort of camo to blend in...
the stances could all include moves and such....
for instance maybe a move that when we hit someone they run incredibly slow for a short amount of time stopping them from kiting us.
some of my thoughts give me some feedback
i like the stance idea but forget the bleed hits we are never going to get that, the devs would never give us the ability to cure and cause bleeding.

Yes, it bothers me to no end, and I have posted about it many times.
Laser beams don't cause bleeding, as you stated, they stop it. Laser beams also don't knock people down as they have no mass and thus no force. It is impossible to shoot someone in the eye when your target isn't even facing you.
The designers of this game have proven horribly incompetent time and time again. The entire combat system could be balanced in a single day by universally applying realism to all aspects. Every profession, weapon, and skill would be automatically balanced.
Jesus, some of you guys are just nitpicking now. If i shoot you in the back of the face, it's not going to matter a **edit**ing bit if i hit you in the EYE or not. It's a game. I agree, some of it makes no sense, but i'd rather have the devs focus on fixing things that are BROKEN, not things that are unrealistic. It's star wars for crying out loud.
On stances, i think it's a cool idea, but i don't see it being implemented any time in the near (or distant) future.
I love the stealth mechanic he discribed there are no tactics in this game becasue of auto attacks and radar. Honestly rifleman = sniper not atm, need to have some moves that blink you off the radar and or visual camo or supresses your opponents auto attack

Bleed? Are you serious? We have enough, that's someting best given to the fencers/swordsmen/maybe pikemen...they need some love.

That's a good idea,I like stances, but there's no precedent for something like this and we just got a porno-movie's batch of lovin', I don't see that happening anytime soon. Though if it did, I think it should apply to all classes and it should really be more cosmetic like /mood's and each class has like 3 or 4 of them so you can look unique. I would pickCrane-style Kung-Fu personally.

Bantha: This is essentially what the active defense that the Sept 19th combat update talked about.
Gurrcat: The /stick command has been talked about and that's been an issue because we keep getting an -out of range- message forever now even if we look in-range. This was also addressed in the combat update and I'm willing to bet the /stick threads will dwindle once their dicussion goes live.
Peekoo: We've got berserk already and do you really think that we need more damage? We're number machines man...I don't care how nice your composite is, if I can get a hold of you (see above) you are DEAD in seconds. Don't knock Unarmedhit3...it's nasty.
Crystal Snake: Did I miss where we were Jedi and could mind trick them so we're invisible? Shouldn't the stealth thing be a Ranger skill, that's camo, right? They're a borked profession enough, they should get the ability to camo against other PC's, but that's another thread.
I really like the stances idea, but I think for this to be realistic, it needs to be cosmetic to add an RP aspect, though I think it's great if we had styles, as well as other styles of other melee classes...though, there are different grips (gack style, etc) for blasters and such, so ranged should get some love too...anyways.
Good post.

HAHAHA, amen...I've ALWAYS though about that everytime my pistoleer buddy cheaply bleeds a tough mob to death...though that runs into the whole ANH: when obi-wan cut that alien's arm off and it bleeds topic of conversation...let's not start that.
Yes, I don't want a bleed either, we're TOUGH played right, and it does take some talent and work, and THAT'S why it's so darn fun to be a TK.
Caribeener and riflemen I can see, or any kind of gun that shoots slugs...but pure energy opening a massively bleeding wound is kinda silly.
