Thread: Someone explain how Stun, Blind and dizzy work.......
I have these 3 attacks in a macro and use them first in every melee. I have studied the damage mods against a NPC who has been affected by these disorientation attacks and I have found that if I use Intimidate by itself it takes half of the damage the NPC potentialy can do.
Well that is all good but If I use Dizzy, Blind or Stun by themselves they seem to have no effect what so ever other than hurting my HAM. If I use these 3 alone If have noticed no specific damage potential loss to the NPC.
So what do they do then. I have been hit with dizzy before and I fell over a couple times. When I use it, the NPC or creature never falls over...ever.
When I am hit with stun I loose my ability to take alot of damage and my melee speed goes down....not when i use it on an NPC or creature though.....
Can someone help me out here?
Stun cuts damage done to you by approx half, as does intimidate but stun sticks quicker so it is my first move.
Blind makes it harder for creatures / NPCs to hit you and therefore reduces the number of hits you take.
Currently dizzy does not work but is being addressed in next patch.

hehe Also stun lasts 4 times longer or so than intimidate so better in that respect too

Do those two stack?
would a stunned and intimideated creature do less damage
than just a stunned or intimidated creature?

I don't think Stun cuts damage at all, but what I THINK it does it makes the target more suspectable (<sp?) to other debuffs. So if a stunned target is intimadated, you see only a quarter of the damage, instead of half. Or if a stunned target is blinded, they miss half the time, as opposed to a quarter of the time, etc.
JUst my thoughts as I dont see a damage drop if a target is stunned, but a stunned/intimated opponent only does a quarter damage.
Stun cuts the targets defense down so you do more damage to them.
Blind makes the target miss more often and lowers its damage output.
Dizzy makes it so if you try to change postures, you fall down. I.E. - Use dizzy on a target, then use unarmed lunge (only really seems to work on humanoid types) and they will be forced to kneel. If they try to get up, they hit the ground. Also works on players (sometimes). I did manage to do it to a Zabrak friend of mine so as far as I know it still works to some extent.
Hope this helps.

Are you sure about this? When I look at the combat tab window, it does not show dmg cut in half...
Sorry, should have been more clear... when I use only stun, I do not see dmg cut in half. If I stun, blind, and intimidate, I notice a big difference ~50% dmg reduction at least...
Rico, do you get this just from stun alone?
