There are 3 kinds of people in this world. Those that make things happen, those that watch things happen, and those of us who wonder...should i shoot them in the head or the gut?

Liquid, are you indicating that a player has to be a Teras-Kasi Master to be able to validly criticize the TKA profession?

If so, then please tell me--what does being a master have to do with these six little words:

That target is out of range.

That target is out of range.

That target is out of range.

You see, this is the chief 'complaint' us 'whiners' have. Yeah, sure, there are 'balance' issues that need to be worked out. (I think anyone who plays the game can see what professions are currently the most powerful.) But the main problem for the melee professions has always been the inability to consistently hit a moving target, especially in PvP. (Let me say that again: Especially in PvP.) The next set of issues (for TKA... at least in my mind) has always been the fact that many of our special movesare useless orcounter-productive. You don't have to be a TKM to know how useless Power Boost is right now. You don't have to be a TKM to see how inneffectual combo hits are. You don't have to be aTKM to see how crazy HAM costs can be in general with equipped VK/any requisite armor.

As far as I'm concerned, even a Novice TKA has a few valid gripes. I suppose all those Novice Smugglers shouldn't have been questioning the fact that the Master Smuggler skill description was totally empty, huh? I mean, what would a Novice Smuggler know, right?

Bleh ... why, oh why, oh why ...

please dont repeat those words again, they give me nightmares.

im a TK master. i hit hard in pve but at a high, and higher then anyone else, ham cost.

im a TK master. I hit people who stand afk at the space port hard, because i knock them down, and my next hit, hits like a mack truck

im a TK master. I can't hit moving targets, i can lunge, but they just slide across my screen, im still out of range.

Im a TK master. Im a wookie too, so i play on SWG hard mode

im a TK master. armor doesn't benifit my class like other class's, but used properly causes us to tank kenetic dmg better then anyone else. again im a wookie so i can't use armor.

im a TK master. i get 1 shoted by rifflemen 2 shoted by Bounty hunters 2 shoted by CH spiting pets, and retarded on by comandos with flame dot

Im a TK master, and sometimes i whine sue me

Im a TK mater, and a Master brawler, ive worked every melee elite profession to atleast master in one tier, I can say for certain that TK at low lvls is the hardest, and at high lvls is easier then everything but swords.

Think everyone want to be able to hit moving targets, or at least know WHERE the target really is.. I know I want it

I was extremely glad to hear that they're probably going to be increasing all melee's range to 12 m. This should totally quash the target out of range bug due to the server fudge factor.

I can feel fairly certain that not all Master TKAs really 'know' their profession. A person can get to master of any profession without really exploring all of its ins and outs. Unless a player has tried everything, done everything, learned all the uses of every skill, applied them in many different situations, and learned what to use against which profession in PVP etc., he really can't fully know enough about TKA to make deep insightful comments about its strengths and weaknesses.

However, all that said, he can make reasonable assumptions and reasonable complaints about how the profession works. But even someone who only has novice and a few skill boxes can do this. It all depends on how you play the game, not on how high level you are.

Response:

Holy cow, thank you for finally saying it. Just cause you're a TKM, doesn't make you know squat except how to grind unarmed xp well...which is an art form all it's own. It's the people that have success that can speak...ahh..just read my quote.

Mister Heavy:

You, sir, are a gentleman and a scholar. I wish I were on your server or you on mine. EVERYONE listen to his posts (read I guess). He does his homework...he reads the latest official posts and knows his stuff THAN posts replies and original posts about factual, actual things. If there's anyone that deserves to whine, it's him...but has he? Not that I've seen.

LoBai,

I think you hit the nail on the head. The reason Mister Heavy does NOT whine is because he hasresearched his profession and has read the latest official posts. As a result he seems to be proactive to changes rather than reactive. As do you! I barely recognize any of the people who continually post here, except for you and Mister Heavy, and I look forward to reading both of your opinions and points of view everytime! I have learned much from you two. Keep up the good work, guys!
