I've been putting a good deal of thought into this: I've gotten bored with pistoleer and i refuse to surrender tkm, EVER. I thought i'd try something new. I decided to go rifleman, I'm just wondering if being a master rifleman would render my teras kasi skills useless, I've seen sharpshooters outdamage entire groups of people, but like I said i don't want my tk skills rendered useless by rifleman skills.

Nerf rifleman! lol

Actually it would be quit good since are melee penelty only aplies when we hold a rifle. And if things get in close you can go unarmed. Well anyway i think its a god complement to tka. And if you ever go krayt hunting you won't die. But take this advice eather you go all the way in rifle or nothing at all. Rifle man is not a dabblers profession.

The sheer amount of mods you get with TKM/Master Sharpshooter make you a killing machine in PvP.

I'm nov TK and played with both nov carbine and rifle, I like the style of rifleman, and my big T21, alot so I'm sticking with them. Carbines do have very good ranged knockdown and have quite good dam at high levels, so if you have crazy action HAM then it's a really strong way to go. Rifles eat mind, but they shoot mind too and have AOE dizzy (which should be really nice for PvE since your targets will allready be dizzy when you reach them and spam knockdown).

Mostly though I picked rifles over TK because I just like the idea of rifleman better. That, and the first time I got a red con'd mob down to almost no mind, then popped up up and opened a can of whup-arse on him when he closed on me was so satisfying, i started laughing.

I've heard, repeatedly, rifles are not to be dabbled in, but I plan on doing it anyway, take as much ranged defense and the flurry shots as I can, and just plan on making 1 or 2 hits w/ the rifle before I enter melee. If you go rifles make sure you get a jawa rifle (for pvp vs armor - its stun damage bypasses almost all player armor so far as I know) and a spray stick (for close range, fast fire specials - my spray stick has a speed of 2.0 and optimal range of about 30m, it's perfect for warning shot or a last head hit).

IMHO, in the end, it's what style you prefer, and whether you want to migrate stats to action or mind...

Iused to be Teras Kasi Master / Master Rifleman / Rogue and it was great for PvP and PvE. Master rifleman will easily outdamage any other class in the game period. You can solo anything with this combo by just stacking mind bleeds and then tanking until it dies. I decided to drop master rifleman a few weeks ago and it was the dumbest thing i've ever done
