Many of you are curious to origins of TKA, how it relates to SWG, or even Star Wars. As nerdy/geeky as I am...I decided to look!

Basically, TKA isn't true "Canon" to Star Wars universe, but it's wording was used and it was hinted at in several books. There are facts of secret martial orders who rely on unarmed combat speciality that supposedly all trained in the same fashion, but weren't specifically called Teras Kasi Order. They were simply unarmed specialists who were feared, and respected.

Now, there are many statements out there by people that the Star Wars RPG, which not exact SW Canon, is a known source of Star Wars info. Authors and creators can only do so much by themselves...

Basically...read for your enjoyment, and expanding your minds a little!

I was looking forward to a story too, please, if anyone has any Teräs Käsi stories please share them. Or there will be consequences. Just kidding, I could get in a lot of trouble if I said that seriously.

just want to point out that a lot of the stuff on the teraskasi.net website is flawed. Anything that's taken from the Wizards of the Coast TT RPG games is not canon.

also the History of TK is not canon since it is not mentioned in any of the books

Learn to enjoy life though =P

In truth, this is a game -- SWG follows nothing of actual Star Wars "canon." The only thing SWG got right is there is a Rebellion, and an Empire.

I'm not sure if the article about canon is completely accurtate, it said that Zahn was the one who came up with Coruscant as the capital, and Lucas went with it for the movie, but I'm pretty sure I heard of Coruscant before that book came out.

I'd appreciate more details about Teras Kasi. I believe it is the most mysterious profession, so some stories, maybe even a series of mini quests would be interesting.
