TKM/Fencer is a pretty good all melee combo. You can take much more of a beating with TKA than fencer. Once they're down just start whacking at them with your salami stick.

Another one of my favorite combos is TKM/Rifleman. Two opposite ends of the spectrum. Beat them down with your fists. Then if they run away pull out the t21 and pop em.

For defenses, I would say add some Fencer. The leftmost line has a lot of primary defenses in it, and the two middle ones have state defenses. Mix and match to see what you like.
Swordsman, on the other hand, is more offensively orientated, and not really worth dabbling in (ie: Master or nothing), just in my own opinion.

i am a TK Master, with Ranger Tracking 4. This allows me to be a very fast, and efficient organics gatherer for all of my crafter customers. i can go out to lok on a single buff, and return with 75k units of leathery hide, or more.

just go far away from cities, and start tracking Gurks, Snorbals, or Kimos.

i also have some politician in there, as i am mayor of my city.

Id like to try out TKM/Master Smuggler + whatever medic possible. You get all the melee goodness of TKA and then you get Terminal slicing/lock opening, faction perks 25% cheaper, ability to buy faction, feign death for the big time PvE'rs, spice crafting ability (meh) and you get the cool title of master smuggler. Hmm, anyone tried this ?

Another hot template is TKM, Master Smuggler. Master Pistoleer.

Allows you to be lethal up close, and if something runs you are pretty handy with a pistol.

My Char is a TK 4/3/4/4 BH 0/0/4/0 Commando 0/0/4/0 Novice Medic (Im holding onto Commando till I stack enough BH xp for lvl 3) (Jedi hunting= Yay!) I personally say bounty hunter and novice medic (BH 4/0/4/0) With power boost you can take on 8k+ BH missions unarmored on the spot plus have Jedi hunting abilities, a flame dot, 2 mind hits,a stun pistol, and bleeds. I wouldnt dought you get about a thousand recommendations for Master Brawlerforuber ranged KDsandFencer for stun damage, body hits, and better defences. Either that combo or Rifleman, or Pistoleer/Smuggler/TK- riiiight. All classics, I say go BH... 600k for jumping ayoung jedi at his/her most vulnerable moment provides both action and money. Needless to say a TKM isnt exactly the most common BH side pro out there... Dizzy, KD, Intimidate, and Get-R-Dun.

I've been away a while and keep hearing about the 'Triple Threat' template... how do you find existance without any Terrain Negotiation and Medic skills? Currently, I'm Master Pistoleer, Master Smuggler, TK 4/1/2/0, Scout 1/0/0/0 and Medic 0/0/0/0... is there a better way I could be distributing my points for PvE and some casual PvP?

Well, the lack of Terrain Negotiation does make it more challenging... you have to do your best to fight on grounds of your choosing (as level as possible, or running downhill) if you primarily fight TK. However, that is where Master Pistoleer comes in very helpful. You can generally do plenty of damage up close and just finish them off with Pistoleer.

You also tend to use your speeder and/or mounts a lot more often, and get real quick at mounting and dismounting.

Personally, I rarely ever use Novice Medic, so I would drop it and apply those skillpoints to TK. If you find you can drop Terrain Negotiation I would definitely try out the "Triple Threat" template, it truly has been one of the best templates I have played thus far (as in enjoyment to play).
