Does Meditate do a decent job of filling in for low lvl medic skills ?
I would like to drop all my Med and go 4-0-0-0 TKA.
Im also thinking of tripple master.
Is this a bad idea ?

You should still have novice medic, but for healing black bar wounds you can't go wrong with meditation.
If you can stay out of battle for a minute or two you can remove poison, disease, and bleeds.

One of the few major changes I would make in the game is give every one the ability to use stimpacks. If I could just use a low level stim I would be happy to give up all Medic and have a wonderful new 15 skill points to spend on developing myself into the Uber fighter I am always seeking.
I really don't expect this to ever happen and I am not suffering without it. But I do find that even with full buffs there are times when a quick stimpack heal has if not saved my life, made it easier.

probably the wrong forum but hey interesting idea! you could give medics and doctors increased ability and perhaps healing kits instead of stimpacks, leaving stims for low max use heals... i.e. 5 uses cures 500 HA straight with no modifiers and no med xp gained for using it.
oh and other than healing damage, yes meditate does great for anything even a master medic could do.

To the first issue... I've never had medic on my main character and I've gotten by just fine for over a year. Yes it kinda sucks not being able to heal myself but that's the sacrifice I make for having the combat abilities I have.
To the second issue... You can heal your "black bars" pretty quickly, not as quickly at 4000 as at TKM, but pretty well. Meditate doesn't heal damage any faster than just sitting down does, though.

Just reiterating what Atama says. If all you were looking at for medic skills was the ability to cure your wounds, then meditate is 10x medic in that area. I also have a template that uses no medic, and with the current state of buffs and food in this game, you really don't need medic at all, unless you're going after higher lvl pve. Could change after combat balancing, but then again so could alot of things....

Ok Travon...I'm sorry but I have to correct you there...FIRST AID stops BLEEDING....QUICK HEAL heals HEALTH and ACTION at the SEVERE COST of MIND WOUNDS...

Medic is required for fighitng Jedi. If you don't have at least novice, the Jedi will out heal you and kill you before he runs out of Force. I'd recommend 4-4-0-0 medic, or at least 4-0-0-0 medic, you heal for 1k+ every few seconds, really causes trouble for Jedi.

"Medic is required for fighitng Jedi."
...Solo, of course. A TKM defense stacker teamed with a doc would be pretty nasty against a Jedi.

I was just thinking with meditate you can take half your stats to boost and you canheal wounds...but getting to the point I think that meditating should heal your mind dmg faster than just sitting, when I meditating it loks like I'm trying to do something really hard even if I'm just waiting for mind dmg to get healed lol, I've never done a profession without medic but if you probably already have your master and enough defense stacked you shouldn't need it, in addition tkm 4000 also heals diseases and poisons stuff that it would take docs to heal so I believe it to be better.
