I tested center of being last night on 10 rancor lairs 5 with a CoB macro running and 5 without. The results come up positive and warrant more looking into.
On the 5 without CoB nowhere in my combat spam did I evade(dodge), counterattack or Block. BUT with the CoB macro running possibly 1 in 10 if not a little better swipes from the enraged rancors were evaded, counterattacked or blocked. I dont know if this is new since it has been so long since I have used center of being.
My template at this moment is TKM/Master Ranger/Novice Medic so no other melee center of being mods came into affect nor did any dodge/counterattack/block mods from any profs. I dont know if some piece of code got jarred loose in a patch recently, but it now seems evident to me that running a center of being macro could be beneficical to save some armor wear and tear.
edit: Ill post numbers tonight, I saved as much combat spam as I could.

I thought I was seeing things when I kept seeming to Dodge / Counter / Block attacks a few days after pub10 went live, I was on Lok killing Pirates & seemed to be doing it. I wasn't reading combat spam as I was in a discusion in guild but then I knocked my CoB macro on &I started doing it more. I acctuly just put it down to the extra melee deffence I took from the village & figured it wasn't what it seemed but now you've posted this it's backed up what I thought about DA been fixed at least a little).
Cheers for posting this Maxx

Heck, I actually saw some dodgeanimations from my char the other night when using CoB on janta/mokk missions. Never noticed that before, that's for sure. I've always used it when fighting stuff I can't kill in one or two hits, just to make my armor wear a tad longer.

Mobs tend to miss you more as well from the testing I have done, not allof them though... and that evade/dodge animation when you lift/jump your feet is funky

Its not attached to publish 10. I've always dodged / blocked / counter attacked against mobs while COBed. Everyone's just quick to say it blows because the one-handed COB is a lot better.

I have just started using CoB and have noticed a difference in hit percentages.IMHO this is something nice to add to your combat macros.

Combat macros? Who needs em!I just hit CoB, clear the que, then go back to spamming my attacks. Best thing about CoB not showing in the combat que is that you can hit it, then clear the que and CoB will be the very next thing you do. Same works for foods and spices if you are ever in dire need...
A macro will just dump it at the next spot in your que, so if you have more than one or two attacks left it might be a bit until it reactivates.

Ok, I did some more fighting, logging and counting. All against Giant Sandbeetles. All hits taken without CoB were in melee, some of the hits taken with CoB were at range, so that skews the hit/miss ratio somewhat due to my less than stellar ranged defense:
Without CoB:
Attacks: 442
Hits: 290
Misses:141
Evade: 3
Block: 3
Counterattack: 5
65.61% hits,31.90 % misses,2.49 % E/D/C
With CoB:
Attacks: 442
Hits: 204
Misses: 145
Evade: 38
Block: 28
Counterattack: 27
46.15% hits,32.81 % misses,21.04 % E/D/C
Without Center,11 out of301 hits are evaded/blocked/counterattacked.
With Center,93 out of297 hits areevaded/blocked/counterattacked.
Again, those are numbers from still minor sample, but I'll keep adding.

What CoB macro do you use? I've been having trouble coming up with a good one, probably because I lost my first one, and can't remember the command to clear the combat queue

I might do my own testing because the results from above are not even close to what I experience when using CoB.
