i have some bad news for TKM's. we are not uber anymore, we can be beaten by swordsman, easily... fencers without to much work and dotting pikeman might not kill us in the duel, but we'll die from the poison/disease/fire.
and as a rifleman i have to say i only lose when i am too drunk to look at my monitor when i am dueling.
bottom line tkm has been effectively nuetered. and after the CB we are getting knocked down even further. so if you are smart.. drop it now and get swordsman so you can solo any NS you find.
I hope someone will argue with me, cause I think I am right, and I hope I am not.

If you think tkm is weak, you are not playing it to its full potential. DoTs are a problem for everyone, not just TK. Swordsmen are weak to states - kd/dizzy very easy. Fencers can't deal damage worth a crap. Intimidate and a psg and they're neutered. The only thing pikemen can do is swing a dot pike every 10 seconds. Kill em and meditate it off. Or have a doc around. nbd

Yep you aren't right...
I'm glad we aren't ub3r, then we'd have abuncha 13 yr olds running around killing everyone...
No profession is uber at this point, Jedi is probably the best profession but not by much sadly. It's more on your weapons then your profession. Swordsman is horrible for PvP unless you are speed capped and have a good acklay. Otherwise you'll find yourself missing most the time... It's not a bad profession, but it's a very costly one to PvP with. Personally I don't like their defenses, but their offense compensates for it... Same with fencer without an acklay baton they don't stand a chance.
If you have alot of dot whores on your server pick up doc. That'll fix that problem quickly.

Too bad you're not on my server. I'd like to warcry you, then you get confused as to why you can't attack. Then the intimidate comes. Then I knock you down and dizzy you. You flop like a fish and finally get up, meanwhile I've blinded you, stunned you, and ripped up your mind pool. You try to run away but my lunge makes you fall again since you're still dizzy.
If you're lucky you could beat me. But if you don't put out an effort you are a dead man.
ps Do you have some kind of psychic power that you know what will happen in the revamp?

Ipseck: .... Swiging a DoTed pike every 10 seconds? Try 1 second, not that hard to hit the speed cap with the average DoT Nightsisters lance, so yes, Pikeman pose a serious threat, especially when they StackD with teras kasi or fencer. Don't take them too lightly.

haha, atama you misunderstood the point of my post. I was a tkm directly after launch and only lost it for a short time holo grinding. I love tk and do very well with it. I am just saying by my post that we are not what we once were. Not neccesarily a bad thing for certain. I remember when every month every prof called for our nerf. I was just curious if any of the old timers had an opinion on the subject.

Is this how you judge a profession'slevel of "uber-ness"? By what powerful NPCs professions can solo?
I don't agree with anything in your post. Fact is, any combat class candefeat any other combat class, so many factors come into play, skill level of the player, equipment being used by both players, type of food being used, level of buffs, knowledge of how to best use each profession's special attacks, as well as when to use them, etc.
So to say TKMs can be "beaten by swordsman easily", there is no basis on which to make such a statement. It is just simply not true.
If you're having a hard time beating other melee classes, maybe you need to change your strategy, get better equipment, try using more beneficial food during the fight, or try something other than just spamming Unarmed Hit 3, not implying that you do, just saying a lot of TKs think "spam best attack, hope I do more damage than my opponent".
To say TKM has been effectively neutered, well, that's just rediculous

I concur with the above and further add that using Unarmed3 in a PvP fight is sheer blasphemy (and if not quite that, its very very stupid).
I've been Rifleman, been Pike, been Swords. All are very good classes, and I miss rifles with all my heart.
HOWEVER, that being said, No class has the balance, poise, and sheer range of options that the TKM has. In 1 vs 1 pvp (with a dash of fencer thrown in) my TKM makes rifleman look like toy soliders; pikeman look like they are waving tree branches around; swordsman are clumsy, and absolutely destroys the fool Jedi that throw down the challenge (minus Jedi knights /kowtow to the jedi that taught me humility).
TKM is a powerful class that has almost unlimited potential to complement and enhance any fighting profession. TK's biggest weakness is the limit of kinetic, light damage. Oh well, forces you to find a solution to that prob, but that's fun.
Obviously your post was designed to get feedback, I'm just sorry you missed the serious potential of TK before you dropped it. /unarmedKnockdown2
Now tailor . . theres a weak profession. What are they gonna do? Throw dirty clothes at you?

you dont realy know what you are talking about , yes swordman can beat us but i can beat them quite easy to , i beat Fencer very easy in PVP and pikeman well dot hell there but they not to bad , maybe try learning how to use tkm first before making statements which are not really true to a very good profession

Are all you TKMs who can beat fencers and swordsman up in a pinch TKM? Or have you all taken the fencer defence lines?
