Thread: New Teras Kasi Master
Hello fellow brothers and sisters. I have recently Reached TKA master/Master Brawler as well as some CH and Med skills. Wanted to say hello and i had a few questions for PVP.
1) Against Other Teras Kasi Masters what has been your best combo - KD2 / Dizzy (assuming dizzy doesnt take effect with KD2 / Hit 3 ?
2) Against Running Gunners - (Have Master Brawler) - Lunge2 / spam Hit3 ?
3) I am a Human TKA so in your experience where should i put all my points at for best results in PVP (ie Health,Stamina, Str, Etc...)?
I hope all the other TKA's are enjoying their class as i am having a good time. Have been in maybe6 PVP wars, but am really enjoying SWG and plan on interacting in many future battles. If you have any other wise input on how to make me a better player in PVP feel free to put some input into this thread.

1) I try to avoid other melee classes since they take longer for me to kill, leaving me vulnerable to their friends pitching in. But it is inevitable and they know you are coming for them.. lunge, dizzy, knockdown1, stun, and hit them in the head a bunch. Maybe throw in an intimidate if they get up. If they don't know you are coming, knuckdown1, dizzy, stun, head shots, lunge when they get up (if dizzy is still in effect). Knockdown 2's dizzy seems to last a very brief time. If they are unbuffed, you are probably wise to attack their body pool, making them reluctant to style. Personally, I get doctor buffs before I fight in PvP, so mind is my only vulnerability even if I spam styles like mad.
2) Take off the knuckle, lunge, close, knockdown, beat on them. If they get up, you may want to run away from them and re-engage when your timers have elapsed. I typically spam hit3 without thinking, but I think hitting them in the skull is better, as once they get up they are going to heal the damage pools you where whacking on. Sometimes I will pull out the rifle and do a mind shot to discourage them from kiting me, but only after engaging them once. I don't lead off with it because it would warn them of my presence.
3) My points are 800, 400, 400, 700, 400, 400, 1100, 600, 600. Get a doctor to buff you well. You can get mind boost from high level entertainers but they don't last but a few minutes. Use spice for your mind if you are really serious.
Do not be afraid to use tactics that your enemy will cry about. I don't mean exploit game mechanics, but hiding in buildings, running around walls in a city, blindsiding people who are killing npc's... Just kill everyone who has it coming. Everyone who is overt or has a TEF has it coming.
What Malibu said is pretty much right on the money. My stats are 900/400/400/900/400/400/900/500/600 though, as I usually don't have doctor buffs on that much. I haven't fought many imperial melees yet, but I know one recently made TKM so my life might get interesting. Lunge1, close, KD2 is your friend though. It's also priceless getting flamed by a commando, kicking his butt, and then healing yourself until the dot stops and meditating it off. Makes them mad ![]()
Also, like Malibu said, don't be afraid to use "cowardly" tactics like runing into buildings, behind walls, etc. As a TKM, you MUST know what's around you at all times and use it to your advantage. It's not our fault if riflemen follow us into short hallways. I can't count the number of clueless ranged users that have actually come after me in the fort atop imperial hill outside of Bestine. I mean, they might as well just sit down and LET me kill them. Now when 9 or 10 of them charge me in there at once....well that's what composite armor and burst run are for ![]()
Oh.. and congradulations. I know it takes a long, long time to reach Mastery. I did it a few weeks back after playing since release, with a day job.
