For all those that feel that our profession sucks blah blah blah, heres an account of some exploits. For about 2 weeks I have been playing as an overt Imperial TKM. Currently my PVP record is 11 wins to one loss. My victims include Pistoleer/Bounty hunter, 3 Master BH kills, 1 Combat Medic, 1 TKM, 1 Pistoleer, 1 Rifleman/CH, 1 Pistoleer/Chef, 1 Commando/CH, 1 Doctor/Pistoleer. And the only loss that I have occured was 2 BH's spamming knockdown.

The 2 best fights I have ever had was one fight where I fought another TKM and the other fight where 3 Rebels jumped me in Theed. The three rebels were the Rifleman/CH, Pistoleer/Chef and a Commando/CH. During this fight I had to use a combination of using building corners to interrupt line of sight, Fleeing and then coming back, Force of will to stand back up after being incapped and Combat equilibrium to heal my mind bar when it was low. But after A long fight there was three rebel corpses on the ground and one victorious TKM medding on the ground to get rid of his wounds incurred by a flame thrower.

Now as far as PVE is concerned I dont knowmany classeswithout a pet that can charge into a rebel camp with around 5 even starburst npc's and then have all of them knocked down and killed at leisure. TKM just rocks.

Sorry for the additional post since we dont have an edit button with this forum. A word of advice for those TKM's that have problems fighting ranged opponents.

Learn to exploit the weaknesses of line of sight. Building corners and walls are your friends.

Most ranged players will always mess up if the opportunity presents itself. The object is to stick on them until they mess up.

Most ranged people really dont consider melee to be a problem so they tend to be stupid at times and allow a TKM to get right on them until its too late and they realise as thier life flashes before thier eyes that indeed they were truly stupid.

If a ranged person if running away from you your best friend is unarmed lunge. I cant stress how good this skill is when it comes to stopping a running **edit**. There is simply nothing better than using lunge followed by a good knockdown on ranged players. Also considering that most people tend to go all offensive without creating a balanced offensive/defensive character means that they tend to stay down due to lower combat equilibrium.

Let a person kill themselves by spamming specials. Most ranged people I fight tend to try and spam specials while your chasing them. In fact ive had several kills on people that have got themselves low using specials while I deftly doged them while running. A moving target is harder for ranged people to hit so if they are using specials make sure you are moving and making them pay a high price for these moves and then just move in and take your well deserved 1 shot one kill victory that you deserve.

Warcry and intimidate are ranged attacks. Yes these attacks are ranged I have had them hit targets at least 25 meters away. Most ranged players tend to kite you within 25 meters so take advantage of this range to lower the dmg that they do.

Muon Gold is your friend. When fighting a rifleman or bounty hunter spamming eye shot, remember that this spice will actually heal your mind level so take use of this second chance to get even.

Hide your percieved weakness. Be sure to wear a tag while in pvp saying your another class entirely. Alot of times I have novice pistoleer up and walk around with a pistol on. Imagine the enemeies suprise when I run up to him and do a knockdown only to kill him with my barefists. Boy they didnt see that coming. If ranged opponents see the title TKA they tend to try to kite you from the onset while if they see that your a ranged person they wont run when you get close to them.

Very good info. For the VK info I stoped useing mine for PvE when I got Master Power Techniques. I've never used VK's for PvP except in the early days of the game. VK's in a PvP situation will only get you killed.

Wrong, wrong and just plain wrong. If you are PvP'ing without any of the following:

Buffs
Mind Food
Muon Gold
A good set of layered composite
Mind-cost-reducing power-ups for VK
PSG

then you are asking for a hard(er) time.

Fully buffed with some Angerak Fishak, Muon Gold and Powerboost activated, I can spam any specials I want without any of my stats decreasing at a dangerous rate, with or without VKs equipped. I always use VKs ( in PvP ) because you kill quicker with them. If you kill quicker you are taking less damage from enemy fire.

Try fighting someone with 70%+ kinetic resist on a set of composite and you'll realise why it's better to use them.

I'm not talking duels here. Duels are not a real reflection of PvP. In any sort of battle where there are several people on both sides, I equip my VK.

Very good info, Eldrikk. Thanks!

The only part of your advice that I am vehemently against is wearing a false tag. That's about the stupidest thing ever... but it's personal opinion and I usually turn mine off altogether.

Why is it stupid Itannius?

Its the smartest thing ever, people kite melees, if they see my pistoleer tag, they arent afraid to get in my face, even better, feign death and let them get close (if they are stupid) or use FOW if they incap you and attack when they run up to try to "DB" you

Warcry and intimidate do not have a range on 25m. Intimidate might by 20m at the most. Warcry is definitely 15m and under.
