Everyone says that meditate is very pwoerful and because of that tka's shouldn't get any more bonuses. first of all:1- how can powerboost help u when it only lasts 10 minutes? say if you are going in the geo caves and u power boost, as soon as u get going the boost comes off. 2- Sure we can make bleeding and poison go away but that doesnt help in pvp and sometimes pve. say if you are against a really tough mob and u bleed can u just sit and meditate and make it go away? healing wounds is pretty cool. i admit it but thats about it for meditate and nothing else. so i think we deserve more bonuses. what do u guys think?

How many other professions get a second chance button? Not to mention us being able to target any pool and land every state in the game.

Given the game's current situation, healing bleeds/poisons/disease isn't very useful IF you're soloing a Krayt or the Geo cave or whatever. (I don't know if you were soloing it or not, just saying.) But as we all know, we're not supposed to be soloing those kinds of things. If we were more group oriented, it would be much more useful as there would be other people to distract the target so you could peace and meditate.

I don't solo many huge things like that. Meditate is by far the most useful skill I have (although healing myself is probably tied with it). Just my 2 credits on the matter.

"1- how can powerboost help u when it only lasts 10 minutes? say if you are going in the geo caves and u power boost, as soon as u get going the boost comes off."

Because it takes NOTHING to do a powerboost, and as SOON as it wears off you can do it again. When you get to the geo caves, sit down and redo it, how hard is that?

"2- Sure we can make bleeding and poison go away but that doesnt help in pvp and sometimes pve. say if you are against a really tough mob and u bleed can u just sit and meditate and make it go away?"

It helps BIG TIME in PvP because you're usually not in constant fighting. For example, some CM tosses a poison at you and your buddies and runs. Your buddies scramble and look for a doc for help, you just sit down, meditate, and wait a bit.

In PvE it doesn't help in the middle of a fight, but bleeds usually don't matter much in a fight. The danger of a bleed, or poison, or disease is that even when the fight is over you're still taking damage. With meditate, just sit down and let it wear off.

Meditation isn't a reason to nerf TKA. Meditation is what we get as compensation for our lack of strong pool-specific attacks, our lack of damage other than kinetic, our lack of any real bleed attack, and our lack of any real evasion techniques (defense acuity is inferior).

Meditate rocks. Ever gone rancor hunting on Dathomir? Those guys slap some pretty nasty diseases on you that can do about 200 wound damage per cycle. Not only can you cure those with meditate, but you can also heal those wounds. Sure, a doc can heal wounds too, but what about mind wounds? Those bad boys hit you with mind disease as well, with the same amount of damage. You're pretty much out of luck unless you can meditate the wounds.

And I really like powerboost as well, for the aforementioned reasons. It's completely free, it lacks any sort of downer that would come with spice, and there's no wait time to do it again.

I support removing Jedi from the game rather than leaving them as represented in NGE

Well if that happens, then you suck at tactics.

"hmm so i do a powerboost, i go in fight for 6-7 minutes, get rushed by 10 crazed geo's and sit in the middle of the fight and powerboost for 500 ham?"

Buddy, if you're getting rushed by 10 crazy geonosians I don't think 500 points of HAM are gonna help you. Get some real buffs.

The one thing all of you are forgetting is Battle Fatigue. We can't meditate that off, and that is our drawback.

Masters get a greater chanse of landing a successful FoW (Force of Will).
Powerboost is **edit** when theres buffs.. realy.. I only use it when I need to remove War Grondas and such thats standing by my house.

And no. I dont know what the PvP is like on your server but on my you cant just start meditating right on the battlefield or nearby. You will be hunted down once you stop running.

On my server PvP is usually either a base siege, in which you're either sitting inside or outside a base and you only get into direct fights when the attackers make a try for the base, or a huge battle with over 40 people to a side where it's easy for someone to be overlooked for a minute or two.

Not everybody cheats by having doctor buffs so having Powerboost is pretty useful. Simply fire it up when you get your mission and head out as your HAM is adjusting itself, finish your mission and - depending on the timing - either re-apply Powerboost or hang around a few minutes until it wears off and then re-apply.

And some people don't realise that you don't have to Meditate while your stats re-balance. Simply Meditate, hit PB, then stand and you're good to go.

And healing your own wounds saves massive amounts of time and is pretty much "for free." The last time I was cloned, I'd wound up with about 100 wounds on each stat. I meditated them off in about a minute. Compare that to healing with medical skills.
