ok last night i was on Dantooine, doing solo missions, got a couple of Mokk mission, go to may way point proceed to rip through them both get my money, go back more rince and repeat. ok after about 6 missions i hten noticed my mind hadn't been effected at all. i just though it was my buffs and brandies, well i then notice, the whole time i didnt have a vk equipped... so i equipp one and go to the next mission, well it took about 2 hits faster with a vk to kill a mokk but my mind went down fast. so here is my question?
with out the vk i was doing 1600 damage, and still hitting every second, with the vk i was hitting for 1800 damage hitting for every second but with my mind draining very fast. so how many masters use a vk still.... i dont really notice that much of a difference....

I always do, but my focus is 1100 and I am a doctor. I always eat ahrisa also, so my specials never cost me anything

Never when I'm doing PvE.
In PvP i like to get that little extra kick so I equip them most of the time.

You will techinically do more...probably more an average than just 200 points, but the main thing is the armor piercing...against Janta's and Mokks its probably not needed...but if you face anything with Light Armor+ make sure to equip those guys or you take a 50% hit.

I have 2 sets of VK's. An enhanced set for PVP and a normal set for PVE. Both are sliced.

When doing PvE, I drink 2 brandy and eat a canape, specials never cost me anything either

hm whats your vk stats?
Without I do 1.6k but with i usally top 2.3k dmg with max 195 vks and when you take brandy you dont really need to worry about mind going down.

Only 200 damage more with a VK? Your VK must be pretty bad. My VK gives a pretty dramatic damage increase, at least half again as much damage. With ahrisa and brandy my mind doesn't budge.

Heh VK's are nearly half my damage. They're essential in pvp right now. You don't really need them in low lvl PvP. Sometimes if i'm unbuffed I can take stormies out without vk's on. But I have lots of mind food so I usually just pop some before any fights. Buffed or not.

I definitely use them if what I'm attacking has armor. A 50% reduction in damage sucks badly.
Use brandy and ahrisa and your mind will not be drained at all.

I haven't used a vk since I became a TKM 7 months ago. My only reason is the mind cost, whether it be PvE or PvP, as a TKM/MD I can't afford any mind cost that might at some point prevent me from healing when needed.
