On Scylla I'm a Master Riflemen/Master Creature Handler/Master Scout, So I came to lowca to play with some other friends, I'm going up the TKA route (cause I had planned on doing this with my other char, but got side tracked).

I cannot for the life of me make up my mind as to what other professions to take, I'm not going to pvp with this char much, nor am I looking for uber god h4x0r. If I wanted that i would boot up my other char and lay waste to the lands, The char on Lowca is going to be my role playing, mess around char.

I'm not so much interested in the doctor line, it seems 'everyone' does this. not my cup of tea.

I was thinking Master Ranger (thinking of going for the whole monk type character).

I'm trying to stay away from Creature Handler, cause well I'm a master ch on the other server so it would be the same old.

My character does not like, nor use guns. So that's out. Someone suggested I go up to Master fencer, but I found that kind of redundant. a TKM and a Master fencer.. uhhh ok weird combo.

What are your thoughts.

PS: For all the people saying TKM is the flavor of the month, go read all the other boards, everyone is the FOTM.

I was going to suggest ranger, then i saw you had thought of it as well. I'd head that way personally if i wasnt a tka/doc as well

x/x/4/x Medic + 1/1/x/x CH would be a good addition

He doesn't wanna do CH. He doesn't wanna do Doc.

Ranger is good, especially if you find a good hide/meat buyer. Otherwise, a pure brawler is your best bet. Master Brawler, TKM and Blademaster(master fencer) plus either Pike or Swordsman defense line(Pike is sooooo slow but +5KD +10posture down over Swordsman) is going to be the best thing going. If you're going to be a pure brawler, master brawler at all costs. You can tank anything melee(meaning all monsters) by themselves, some in pairs or greater with warcry2 and intimidate2.

My TKM, Master Brawler hunts FS NPCs by himself easily, without buffs. Makes it almost not fun

Interesting. And you also do not use stim packs?

people are so hard on dablers, why not dabble into BH a little and get some investigation line....i hear its really hard, and ah interesting might not be the right word

anyways it might not buy you anything, but atleast you can post on the BH forums as so many people who dabble into TK seem to think they are tks because they got meditation.

For pure Combat, TK/ Doc are decent I guess, although I'm not doing that myself. You can heal states to get to Meditate faster, and buff yourself.

There are some TK/ Commandos that didpretty well. I dont think I need to list any reasons on that one. But again I didn't go that route either.

Here's a great combo though, Master Droid Engineer, Master Squad Leader, Master Image Designer... everyone will want to be your friend then!

TKM for Life.

If you want teh stats, I could post those for you too. And you'll still have a few points to dabble in some starting profession.

i had that exact template a few months back, i mean exactly that same set up.

Hmmmm Ranger is OK, I'm at 0030 now, (I qualify for 1131) just haven't trained in them for one because in the Wayfaring line you get to make Camouflage kits, but they require wheat or something stupid like that to build them, so I surrendered the skill, because I couldn't find any wheat, and didn't feel like buying it.

Plus the camo breaks once you fight so you can waste your resources rather quickly.

the trapping line is ok i guess, i haven't used any of my scout traps in a long time...as a TK i just use my Dizzy andStun instead of traps, although it might be better for me to use the traps saving my HAM a little, but now that I have PowerBoost that point is kind of moot.

The most helpful trap you get is at level 4in Scout, that's the one that will root the MOB for a short period of time, great for emergencies where you have to run. It's called Adhesive Mesh and requires Bone, Polymer, and Metal, so you're either gonna have to do some surveying or just buy the metal and polymer.

I like the tracking because it's also the line that gives you creature knowledge (which for me is going to be kind of useless now that the CH nerfs are going to go through) but for Explorer missions it comes in handy.

I'm not bothering with thefrontiering line either, I just don't feel like spending skillpoints to be able to make better tents.

that's my 0.2 cents

Valkari,

Unfortunatly, entertainers ( musician and dancer ) can't buff themselves. Beside the fun factor, the only thing that Master dancer brings to a melee class is +7 ranged/melee defense.

ya know you might think im being a smart ass or somthing....but has anyone played witht he idea of master dance master tk?

might be kinda cool in a way to buff yourself with mind buffs and always have basicly doctor buffs , then again i guess you could just get doctor....but then you would have mind buffs =)

i dont know if that can be done and perhaps enough points left over for like i dunno medic

I'm going with this, and in the end, it comes out with some great Defenses:

Master Brawler
Master TKA
4/4/0/0 fencer
4/0/4/0 Swordman
0/0/4/0 Pikesman

If you want teh stats, I could post those for you too. And you'll still have a few points to dabble in some starting profession.
