I was wondering what have people been hunting at the various levels of unarmed expertise to get good xp? I'm now working on TK novice and wanted to know what I should be killing at this point for really good xp... any advice would be greatly appreciated...

I find for new novice TKs pikets on Dantooine are probably the best. However, a medic accompanying you is advised, (that is if you don't have any medic skills yourself), and/or a pet to take some damage. Also, a doctor buff is always a good addition as well. This is excellent xp for the first few levels.

Then, as you get stronger, you can upgrade to piket plains walkers, and piket longhorns, and then eventually piket protectors.

I have a funny feeling that the piket plains walker missions are the lowest level piket missions you can get, so if you cant find regular pikets and only plains walkers, then don't stress just take them. Just as an idea of xp, pikets give roughly 2-3k xp, the lair wil give 3k+. there will be roughly 6-9 pikets per lair, do the math, you'll get low levels in no time!

Whatever you can, might wanna try rori or talus for some decent mid level mobs like foaming vynocks and squalls. And for the love of pete did you have to pick yellow?

OK well that's a completely different story altogether. The best xp you can probably get for a kill using unarmed IV is probably 700ish... But that doesn't happen every often. A good one for soloing if you're all alone is lesser plains bols on Dantooine also. They give about 400 xp per bol, like 1k xp per lair and there are anything from 12-15 bol per lair... That's what I did on my own, also get a pet (mount) or whatever and group it with you as you will then get a group bonus to the xp gained. Have the mount wait a safe distance away and go to town. The road from unarmed IV to TKN is a long and boring one and it's enough for some people to not even bother with TK but believe me, it's worth it, just read some of the posts about people loving TK so much and all that...

However, if you have a good pet, then regular voritor lairs are a bit better than lesser plains bols. But a lot more risk is involved with those. Apart from that there is no really quick way to get that 125k xp, it all goes down to taking your time and grinding it out. But once the TKN is reached, it's so much fun and the xp comes rolling in no problem!

I am grinding up to tka novice as well. Today in about 2 hours(give or take)I gained about 35k exp in unarmed. I did this on tatooine. I got lucky and found a mountain wort lair just east of anchorhead. these guys con red, but using the right stuff you can earn 1600 exp per guy. Now this is not exactly for everyone but I have novice medic and novice pistoleer. I simply go prone and hit the wort with both bleed shots. I begin to run away, about 70 m or so, this ususally lets both bleed shots get the hp of the wort to about 80%. As soon as he startss attacking me I intimidate him and blind him imediately. This reduces his attacks to only about 60 which is makes him feasible. Finally go berserk on him and use good stim B's to keep your health up(rinse repeat until he dies should only take about twice). Down time between these guys was only a minute or so because they never attacked my mind that much, they also don't DB, so I could use stim B's liberally. Hope this helps, I hope to have TKA novice by tommorrow. BTW in my opinion pistoleer/TKA is a really good combo because you no longer have to worry being kited. Plus the defense vs (fill in blank) stack. Just my two cents, hope this helps people.

I just found that Humbabas give almost 1200 xp, and that with a doctor buff I can easily take them down... up to 15k already TK novice here I come....

Be a smuggler and bleed it anf feign death when it bleeds down to 1 walk up to it and smack it one time all unarmed exp baby.

or do like i did when i got mine, go to mos entha, close to the crashed starship cantina there is somekind of backyard where 4 valarian scouts or jabba thugs spawn.....get a mouse droid and group it, then leave it 100m+ away and go kill those guys.... gives 263xp a guy and takes 10sec to take them down....then loot and they respawn right away best part is once you get -5000 faction rating they will just attack you so you dont have to run around, and they are all melee....if they shoot at you just stand still with your VK in hand and wait, after 1-2 shots they will charge to melee just remember to have a speed sliced VK. but i guess you already knew that one, your damage wont be affected much, but your speed will be SOOO much better....

I killed mountain squills to get to novice tka. I grouped with one graul mauler, used 2.2 speed vks powered up for damage, and got anywhere from 2200-2700 xp per kill, plus 3500 xp (give or take a few hundred) for the lair. One mt. squill mission usually has 3 spawns of 3 squills. You will usually get 4 or 5 adult mountain squills out of the mission. A bonus to this is that these missions pay 10k.

heh I went to entha and near the shuttleport and where all those stormies hang out on the edge of town... there are three valarians that always spawn there and gave me 798xp a piece.... I killed them for hours and got novice today! I was pumped.... now to get master!!!
