Thread: A short story I've wrote about TKA
Hi, I'm a budding writer (in fact I've finished my first novel and one of my short stories won a compeition at my University) so I wrote a tiny little short story about TKAs. The narrator of this story is actually never named or described that way you can make it your own character. I'll keep this story going if you want as I have a few ideas where to go after this. Also note that I wrote this maybe an hour ago, while I did my laundry so please don't hold any spelling or grammer against me, I'm not strong in those areas anyway. I'm not sure how much these fourms can take so please don't post until I get the story finished. Thanks!!!
Yuri
I have been head master of the Dojo for a scant year; our order was decimated when a skirmish broke out near our land between the Empire and those who are rebelling against them. And I now find myself in control of the very order I’ve devoted my life to. This is the story of what happened to put me where I am today.
All the teachers and students were crowded around the dojo entrance, this was a small conflict as I would come to find out but for us it was large. Several ATSTs were trampling soldiers who stood against them with nothing but flame throwers and rocket launchers. Though they were inflicting damage to the dreaded machines it just wasn’t enough. The fire fight escalated and only got closer to us as we watched.
One of the more brash students noticed that the rebels were not a fighting outfit; in fact this was a support team as most of those fleeing from the Empire were women and children, and the men were decked out in clothing more commonly seen on medical personal.
The leaders of the Empire seemed to care little as they continued to slaughter the women and children while the few soldiers who were with them did their best to fend off the attack.
Our dojo had long been neutral feeling that war of any sort was the wrong way to go about things. However the same student who pointed out the fact it was a support team, Sion, quickly bolstered from our ranks and began delivering massive blows to a contingent of storm troopers that had surrounded a particularly young group of children huddled around their dead parents.
Though we were given no such order by our old Rodian master Yurimaru the entire order ran out and began fighting the empire as best we could.
With our added help the Rebels almost seemed like to be on equal ground with the dominating Imperial army. I myself had managed to intercept a group of storm troopers chasing after a Drall commander who had apparently chosen the wrong day to support this Rebel brigade. My training came rushing back to me and I was able to disarm and then incapacitate those soldiers of Vader.
However there was still the matter of the ATSTs and I had no idea how we would handle those metallic beasts.
After helping the Drall commander up I was astonished to see him quickly proceeded to kill the soldiers I had knocked out. No thanks did I receive and he moved on.
It was at this time I took a moment to watch the ongoing battle. What was left of the Rebels continued fighting but their numbers were smaller than I had remembered. All around me lay dead students who I had just recently began training. I had several years of training under my belt and had finally reached the level where I could impart knowledge to the young ones who joined our order. My students lay dead or dying and many of the men and women who trained me were dead as well.
Had it been the ATSTs? I wasn’t sure I looked for the behemoths and was astonished to see my master, Yurimaru, standing before them in a deep meditate stance. I did not know if the pilots of those ships could see it, but I saw his aura rising and flickering like a flame. His face was on the outside emotionless yet I knew on the inside he was waging a battle against himself.
The pilots were confused. Apparently even the Empire feels uncomfortable about killing an old man as he sits in front of them peacefully. Yet as the first machine began to make a move to crush my master under its foot the aura that was barely a flickering flame became a brilliant bon fire. As the metallic foot began to stomp down on my master he stood up grasped the mechanical foot and began to fight back against its force.
I saw the great strain this was taking on Yurimaru’s body yet his face remained as calm as it ever had been. Finally the machine began to totter back and before it could fall my master managed to spin the tottering giant around and angled the ATST against its counter part. The others were so shocked and stunned to see this they were unable to move out of the way of their comrade and the three machines collided, second latter they erupted in a huge explosion.
By this time the others had woken up and opened fire on my master, his old body which had never moved faster than a brisk walk in my entire life, was suddenly bounding forward outrunning the blasts and jumping over others. Though he avoided most of the fire power several shots still hit him yet he remained standing. Searing holes into the simple orange robe he had been wearing, and below that the flesh too had been badly burnt yet he flinched not and fought on.
Then he sprung higher than I knew a man could jump and landed on top of the machine. He entered its port access and second later two pilots were sent flying, not through the glass windows that make the "eyes" of the machines but rather though the sides through the strongest link-steel the Empire could find.
The battled raged on like this and after my master managed to destroy yet another of the machines with his bare hands I could hear the order to retreat being given over the headsets of one of the slain storm troopers. When their command asked for their waypoint what was left of the Empire replied they had no idea something was jamming their equipment and they had no clue as to the location of the Teras Kasi dojo that had just destroyed a platoon of storm troopers lead by ATSTs.
Just then drall commander who I had saved came to my side and pointed at a piece of equipment he was holding. "Don’t worry son," he said in a gruff voice, "They’ll never know where this place was, thank you for helping us," I later found out his name was Ikoni after he joined out temple the same night I saved his life.
With the threat gone my master had returned to a meditative state, I quickly rushed over to him. I saw that more blaster fire had hit him and his body was smoldering from all the blaster fire.
The aura that had burned bright as a bon fire while he was fighting was quickly dying down returning to a smaller state. I knew that once his aura returned to normal he would no longer be enhanced by his mind and his body would fail him.
"For years I tried to keep us out of this conflict," he whispered as his life and the aura around him began to die. "I have paid for my foolishness with not only my life but the life of most of my students," he turned to me and continued. "It is up to you now, you are the last of the ones trained enough to teach, you must carry on our ways to others." I knew he wouldn’t last much longer yet he continued on. "In my study there are several holocrons that a Jedi friend I once had gave me, I have imparted my knowledge of the greater techniques of Teras Kasi onto them, in this way you can continue your own training as you take over our Dojo. I ask you that when the time is right you will aid the rebels in their cause so a day like this shall never happen again," and with that my life long master and closest thing I had to a father died.
I did just as he asked and was able to rebuild what was damaged in the fight. Our friends and family were promptly cremated, and we contacted the families of those Rebels who died. I found the holocrons my master told me about and I can now truly say that I am on my way to becoming a master of Teras Kasi, I teach the few remaining students that we have, my best pupil is by far Ikoni. The rebels who we joined forces with here on Rori occasionally send some men for training and I’m happy to have them.
Right now we are weak but in time I will have our order back to its old strength and then we shall strike the Empire a blow such as they dealt us on that day.
lol good story, and I also wished it was the rebels who were getting the pain, especial stupid dralls. <---- sorry still a little mad about the last mission of act 2,
killed my imp soldier.
Maybe you can right another story, where they be a good citizen and help the empire, against the treachorous Rebels ![]()
Great story yuri if you want more practice do what our imperial breathren want and give them a tk story from the eyes of a loyalist.
Very interesting. Perhaps you should contact the devs and help them decide on a background for the TKA.
Nice story.
How would you guys feel about a sticky post for TKA fan fiction? I think it could be fun.
wow thanks for the positive replies
I really apperciate it. I'll be more than happy to write one from the Imperial perspective in fact that was what I was planning on doing to start with but during the process things changed.
I'll start working on the next one as quick as possible, I'll just give you a little preview, TKA vs. Jedi ![]()
