Thread: What exactly are the effects of the Stun state?

Curious as to the effects of the unarmed stun attack. I have observed that when I am stunned, I do less than usual damage. Does this apply to enemies that I might stun as well? Also, does the stun state increase melee damage received? Other effects?

Thanks in advance for your responses!!

I've heard that it takes 1 round of combat away and reduces secondary stats of primary HAM. If anyone knows for sure.....

Yes,it does lower the damage. It's kind of like intimidate, you can see the differences when they are debuffed. A stunned huurton stalker seems like it does anywhere from 60-100 less damage to me.

If I'm not mistaken, I think it also makes things easier to hit. Or maybe it was just my luck. But after stunning a target, I was able to actually hit it more than a few times in a row with a polearm.

I haven't done any research, but from what I've seen the stun state makes enemies attack slower.

Lobai--

And why should I trust the FAQ? Just because it has been listed here in the forums (FAQ or otherwise), doesn't necessarily mean the information is still accurate or ever was.

And there is no need to be a *@&# about it.

If you don't trust the FAQ, then you shouldn't trust any answer on this forum either. If you don't trust any answer why are you posting except to start an argument?

It's a valid response to say "read the FAQ" when the answer is there and you didn't mention something along the lines of "the FAQ says ..... is this really true I'm not seeing it?".

no offense to any of you guys naturally but forum questions tend to be answered in "wishful thinking. The FAQs are rarely helpful as the usually apply to "1st level" n00bs who dont even know how to walk. Stun in my exprience offers little change to anything really due to our speed but they way I see if if something is stunned it makes it one more status effec they have. I actually play games with my opponets to see if i can load them all up with all the status effects I have. Whether anyone knows for sure what it does, atleast it will hinder them somehow..and the move it self does more damage than idle and costs less ussually as more advanced hits.

This forum is a combination of truth and speculation, including the FAQ. The information presented here is not always static and often changes as players learn game mechanics and developers change/update game mechanics. Therefore, my skepticism of the current FAQ is valid. Asking a question that has already been answered in the FAQ is justified. This game is constantly evolving.

I post questions here in an attempt to weed through the speculation and arrive at truth, not to start arguments. Never anywhere did I write that I trusted NOTHING on this forum. If it were the case that I didn't believe that truth could ever be found on this forum, then your comment would have weight. However, I did not say or imply such an opinion or thought. Therefore, your comment is unsubstantiated.

I'm pretty sure it affects to-hit values on the target. Like I said before, take a polearm with you, attack a target with polearm, notice all the misses. Unequip, land stun, then re-equip the polearm. You'll notice you that you hit almost every time.

Doesn't make much difference for a tka since we seem to land just about every hit anyway. But wow it helped so much in working my polearm skill up for master brawler.
