Can a master solo a Rancor?

please post whatever else we can solo with 2 shots of brandy muon and powerboosts and 2k buffs?

Of course you can solo a rancor at master!

TKs can solo almost everything if they play it smart and are buffed up.

(Exceptions might include mobs with high kinetic resist and armor)

You can solo Rancors with buffs and armor hon, same with some of the low/lid level night sisters and force sensitive npcs. Enraged Bull Rancros and Ancient ones are a bit dangerous though because of their knockdown abilities so its easy toget overwhelmed.

Anything beyond those and it gets difficult(Kimos and up and the highest level npcs(like elder night sisters, Geo and Corvette npcs, etc) because they have high or 100% kinetic resists, medium toheavy armor, and high resistances to knockdown and/or dizzy.

For a pure TKM with no other combat professions and damage types, Anything from Enraged Rancors(iffy on Enraged bull rancors since it can possibly go bad) on down, its no problem, and medium level nightsisters on down for npcs. Anything beyond that you'll either need lots of other combat skills to even ahve a good go at soloing it, or need to be grouped with at least one other individual(or in the case of the Corvette, a lot of individuals

) to stand a chance.

Any melee profession at master can solo most mobs, with armor and buffs of course ( with foodas well ) becoming a soloist cost a bit of money ^^

If I was buffed and had a master doctor next to me healing me,and I had 100% percent base armor,and 9 hours I could easily take down a Nightsister Elder and her 100% kinetic protection,and roughly 350k HAM.

But to be serious here are some things I have soloed easily and not so easily:

Nightsister Rangers:note the S,one is incredibly easy,5 is tough,but I've done it.

Nightsister Sentinals

Nightsister Sentrys

Nightsister Rancor Tamers

Enranged Rancors

Rancors

Enraged Bull Rancors(record is 6 at once)

a TKM can solo a ton of things in this game. However, i find it most interesting that a master TK makes for a great tank when a few people are trying to take down high-end mobs. For instance, a few days ago I tanked a Giant Canyon Krayt Dragon for over an hour (granted, i had good comp armor and was buffed) but still... It was a memory i won't forget. I say, if you can't beat it, tank it and let your friend or friends take potshots at it! Besides, if you do that, who's closest to the animal to loot it, hmmmmm?

someone mentioned the corvette. i just reached TKM last night. i have always wanted to do the warren on dant, is it possible for me to solo it buffed and such?

Not playing anymore buy my stuff to help newbs.

Warren is soloable with my template. Dunno how just a TKM (with no other fighting profession) might do.

Also, I find that I can solo any NS fairly easily, and even groups of Rangers and Sentinels and even the Protectors. Can't do Elder solo though (100% kinetic, 100% stun...bleh).

Haven't tried a Kimo or Krayt yet though. Perhaps that's next...

Haha...just posted about that. I'm gonna try to solo a krayt. I think it's possible, if not probable. And I have a for instance....story time folks!

One day, young Kyp Emique was wandering through the woods of Dathomir, in search of Nightsisters. To and fro he went, finding one here, two there, but never getting any good loot. So Kyp decided he'd try his luck on the Battlefield. Hopped on his bike and away he went.

He dodged critters here and there, and outran a few that decided to chase. About 2000m out from the Battlefield, Kyp noticed a mob nest, and threelittle yellow dots, pop up on his radar. Thinking nothing of it, he kept on his course, deciding to go right through the nest. Well, much to his surprise, the yellow dots turned RED a full 5sec after they first appeared...but by then it was too late. Kyp found himself hurtling full speed at a nest of Mutant Rancors. Not 10m away from the nest, he was surrounded and before he knew what was happenening, one of the mutant rancorsbatted Kyp off his bike,as achild wouldplaying T-ball. It was actually pretty damn funny to see me laying on my back and my bike keep going for a second or two....

Being buffed and drinking some Liquid Courage (brandy), Kyp equipped his armor and his VK's and decided to fight it out. At first, only two mutant rancors attacked him...Kyp wasn't concerned. Thenthe third one decided he'd join the party. So there he was, literally surrounded by three mutant rancors, all beating on him mercilessly.

Fifteen minutes later, andthree dead mutant rancors at his feet, Kyp sighed with relief. He looted some padded segments and away he went, happy to be alive. Da end.

So, to my thinking, if a TKM can take three mutant rancors at once, how much harder can a krayt dragonbe...??

A krayt dragon can be MUCH harder than 3 mutant racnors, 3 mutant rancors could be killed easily, unbuffed with armor and just autoattack.

Buffed they should fall down in no time at all.

i started brawler last night and i am well on my way for tk but i have 90% comp armour so i get buffed and go for some easy prey like wrixs or hurrtons which are fairly easy but i am only 4000 on brawler so whats the best critter i can kill for xp through i am wanting to master tk in a few weeks , with my armour and my pets i should be able to start soloing bigger critters soon but what should i go for ?

I dunno about that...mutant rancors can KD and disease and bleed - thankfully I have some high disease resist mods. I don't know what a krayt's battle capabilities are, but surely it's comparable tothree mutant rancors. Think of it - three LARGE critters hitting you at once, or one REAL large one hitting you and you hitting back. Eh, maybe I'm just trying to make myself feel better about my Suicide Mission.

the best fight I did as a master took me close to 2 hrs... running and healing my butt off...I took down a night siste elder.

more recently I was helping a master commando in the crystal caves on Dantooine, those force crystal hunters are some tough sob's.... took on three killed two and the last one incapped me, I failed to revive myself and wouldn't you know it...at the clone center hehe...oh..btw the master commando went down withing the first 6 seconds of the fight.
