Thread: What to wear
Just wear fruit of the loom armor, like me. I also have a belt, a bandolier, and tusken raider boots. ![]()

I wear a sunguard a decorated vest and a moderate skirt(yes I know) lol gives me the "monkish" look but now I just squeezed into composite armor so that's what I'm wearing
Thats exactly what I wear... minus the composite. I cant stand wearing that stuff.. or any armor, it just looks so ugly.
- Decorative vest
- Modest skirt
- Sandles
- (optional Ubese bracers)
- (optional sunguard)
This is something alot of TKA wear as their more formal style, this just screams 'I'm a TKA' which is probably why it's popular. Some people typically have just the vest, skirt and sandles, naturally there's variations this is just my version of it. Something that I do is wear ubese bracers with the outfit, it really goes well with the fact your arms are exposed and it feels like there's something missing with anything on them. Some go for the final oriental touch and wear a sunguard as well.
Kick Boxer Outfit A
- Any pants which are loose fitting with a strip down the side
- Boots
- Ubese bracers
This is something I designed myself based on typically the kind of clothing worn for kickboxing, the loose fitting pants are a must and typically the western pants given to students have a strip of color down the side although I don't know why. The style is mainly designed to go without a top so women might want to have the sports bustier or the sports wrap rather than the bracers. The bracers themselves are again to complete the look as totally bear arms feel a bit out of place in my opinion, the style itself doesn't look right without boots as you'll do your fighting in the wildness not a dojo. However you might want to try sandles again to see how you like it.
Kick Boxer Outfit B
- Pantaloons
- Ubese Bracers
- Sandles or barefoot
This is based on the Mui Thai garments usually used, since this style involves alot more of the knees thus it's important to have shorts which reach down to just above the knee. In SWG the pantaloons are the closest thing and the style does work quite well. Naturally barefoot or sandles are needed as boots simply look out of place.
- Gunmans duster
- Pants
- Shirt
- Boots
This is a very unoriginal style but is actually oddly popular, the clothing is usually dark colors and generally gives you a Matrix style similar to the likes of Neo and the other characters who are known for doing martial arts. If only they allowed for sunglasses the look would be complete ![]()
- Infiltration suit
- Composite bracers
- Compositebreast plate
- Composite boots
- Padded armor belt
- Composite helmet
This is a very specific style I've seen a few times and actually looks very good, it's ideal for protection in melee however it's not that fantastic for ranged because of the multiple holes in the outfit. However this will block a good 75% of melee attacks, it also looks quite lightweight when you're not wearing the full outfit so the style works very well if you want to move towards a more hi-tech look.
Depends. ![]()
In PvP i have a suit of kinetic ubese.
For my grinding, I actually wear kinetic mabari and an ubese helmet. Doesn't look good, but it does make armor costs less, since I have melee mitigation 2. =P
Finally, when out of combat, I wear a dark grey gunmans duster, a light grey shirt, commando pants, dark brown boots, and sand colored gloves, along with my blue glasses. My character is an old man, with short grey hair, a simple grey beard, and wrinkles. ![]()
I'm working on TKM/MCommando, so I like the warrior look. I have my practical hunting armor (ubese with 56% kinetic resist), my go to war armor (composit 65% resist base, 70% special - once I get master I plan on improving) that I use when I think my foes will be likely to hurtle other-than-kinetic damage my way. I have not really figured out how much composite to wear while working TK (I'm only a novice, so I have to work on this). Also, I do not carry around both sets at the same time - too expensive to insure.
I also have my travelling cloths which are a terrible fashion statement right now. But I wear hunting boots (yuck), some black fatigue pants (may switch back to Tatooine camo) anda form-fitting t-shirt. Being Twi'lek, I cannot wear a hat - I thought a headwrap/dew rag would be fun. But I have to work on this setup. Also, I am burnt umber in color (artistic term for rust), so I have to be careful about colors. I've only figured out olive green, black or maybe khaki as good colors.
lol, believe it or not I'm a guy! I don't think I have more cloths than a dancer. ![]()
