I keep hearin about people, rather than using armor, that just use clothing with sockets and gems inserted (very D2'esque). But, i haven't been able to find a single socketed piece of clothing or a gem. whereabouts do you find this stuff? is it crafted only?

Ah excellent! I forgot I had questions about this as well. I have a few socketed items (cloak and belt) that were dropped by randomNPC's. The belt has a +2 tounarmed accuracy and a +1 to droid repairor something like that. I've also found a slotted cloak with nothing in it. Now oncesomething is slotted, can it be removed? Andhow do I go about getting the upgrades? I've found one on a tuskan in my travels, +7 to rifle accuracy, but aside from that, can they be crafted?

I wear a doctor's dress most of the time with composite gloves for the steel hands look.

I concur, nothing more fun than beating down a buffed guy while unbuffed wearing nothing but pink hotpants and a smile.

I've been playing for about 8 months now, there was a thread like this that was brought up (before all the Composite 80% resistance crap).
The fashion for TKA was always to wear a skirt. Modest Skirt was the most popular since you would have the main color black and the bottom area color would match another feature on your character. It was nice.
For men, they would either wear a Ubese Shirt (not the armor) or topless.
For women it was any revealingshirts (Revealing Bikini, Metal bikini, Revealing Top, etc.)
To make it even nicer and more martial arts-like, you could wear Ubese left & right Bracers (make sure the color matches your clothes).
And of course, what kind of Teras Kasi Artist would you be without SANDALS? Sandals are as important on a TKA as the Modest Skirt.
well that's it, that's how I dressed my TKA, and what's what I find looks best on one. Enjoy!

wear a silver robe, silver 'oakleys'
under robe is my wookiee clothing, all drak brown/black, including hoodie.
dont have sandals, cant wear em, but this way more fur gets stuck in my opponents teeth when im fighting them.
armor doesnt work for wooks, mainly because the protection vs. the HAM cost is ridiculous for a TKM, plus it just doesn't make any sense for a TKM to wear armor in the first place. I at least allow my opponents to 'think' they have a chance at defeating me, lol.
seriously, our mods with comp armor? I can see why ppl are calling for CB.

Dude... you have really high toughts about your skills.. hope your talking about more than just your TKM skills, because you will get a HUGE beating by most PvPers if you just have TKM.
