Teräs Käsi in the CU - Mid-level testing - Abilities.



Please discuss TKA fighting related thoughts here. Remember that this is not a replacement for bug reports & the issues threads, this is so more people can look in to things.

Please try & focus on TKA abilities (& their tie in to brawler). Some questions you might want to consider:

- How well do you find TIA (Teräs Käsi Innate Armour) works?

- How does TIA size up against the armours in your opinion?

- How is your damage output?

- How effective is your enhanced CoB?

- Are your taunt bonuses helping?

Note that these are just some questions, add lots of info on other things as well, but try not to go over board. Also note that some of those questions you can only answer once you get to certain points in the profession.

In a day or so once people start to have advanced a bit deeper in to TKA I will be adding a couple of focus threads that separate things like Defence & Offence etc, but while most people are still lower level TKAs we might as well keep it in one thread.

grind is pretty slow so far, I haven't even got 0010! Fighting without a knuckler and fighting with one doesn't seem to make too much of a difference. What you lose in damage you make up for in speed. That's about all I've observed so far.

Just to add.

Currently Vibroknucklers are working as 1H weapons & not UA Weapons (unless it changed last night). So testing with these isn't very accurate at the moment.

Has anyone noticed that both Vibroknucklers and the Massassi knucklers give one-handed XP instead of unarmed? Havent tried the black sun or blaster yet but those two have been giving me 1h xp all day.

Psh, SOE stole "soon" from CRS. They even have it trademarked on the WW2OLcommunity forums. Do I smell a lawsuit?

I couldn't test much today, cause of disconnects, disappearing mobs and due the fact that Knucklers don't give Unarmed XP.

In response too damage dealt...I feel like a newb..I have to say that this profession Rawked before the cu...mabey too much and thats why they nerfed it...but given a few days playing I'm ok with the defenses...damage on the other hand sux..I'm now trying to couple tk with swordsman and I hope that these two profs will make up for each other's weeknesses....to be a tank you need defenses and offense..you can't go into the middle of a battle and take all of the damage with out dealing some out...also taut is a great idea but I have been having problems with that bug my self...you taunt so they don't attack the ranged fighters...but any action from the ranged fighters agros yr opponent on them...very frustrating...I hope it gets balanced soon....

I have always loved TK... I am currently a master, but since the CU my dmage output seems very low in comparison towhat it used to be. I understand that was supposed to happen but as it is at lvl 52 i can't solo even lvl50 mobs....I JUST DON"T GET IT.

More or less I've been looking at the Teras Kasi Innate armor alot lately



Currently I find

a full suit of armor well ...


thats it you gotta wear a full suit or your more or less gonna have armor holes

the old armor sets of gloves boots chest and helmet are long gone


but now even in a full suit you tend to still take odd damage that gos thru your armor ...


with TK fully unarmored (obviously) you never have to worry

I find that very nice


very .... reliable


TK Armor is impressive lets say that


and its useful desireable



however

how does it stack up to armor


I have only used battle armor R.I.S to be exact

I find while yes it can match up to it ... it'll never actualy be better


TK armor has a cap ... its only so good (I dont think theres tapes or food for it)

so its always the same


where as battle armor is getting better and better by the day

people are finding new ways armor smiths are improving there methods


I assume our 60 tk innate armor is like ... 6k defense to all


I've seen battle armor at 7k kinetic energy


or Recon with 8k energy etc



Armor can get better


TK Innate armor cant improve



it leaves less for us to customize and form to the enemys


but I'm still impressed by it none the less
