Hello everybody, Ive given up AS and thought a change would be nice so ive come over to tailor. I have a quick question for all you vetrans out there. Ive been doing the whole ribbed shirt thing but its getting me no where. What items give the best xp reguardless of what it takes to make them, that does not bother me. And not just the starting things, I would like to know the best things as you progress. Hide doesnt matter and neither does components as ive got a ton from being an AS. Any help at all in these matters would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Grind up Field Wear making whatever takes the most resources per item ata given level (this was over a year ago for me, sorry, don't remember exactly which, but it changed a couple of times on the way up). At Field Wear IV you can make Cartridge Belts. Grind out those until you reach master.

Alternately you could take your time and enjoy the profession, but I'm guessing that suggestion would just get me flamed.

/sigh.

Never argue with someone with a lightsaber in their sig. They'll just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience...

Most say to grind to cartridge belts, then make them.

Personally, i didn't do that, but it does sound like a tried and true plan.

for me, i got up to making Cloaks (hooded and unhooded)

i got a bit over 300xp per cloak in practice mode, and since my alt is a Ranger, i stockpiled a VERY LARGE stack of hide for myself, so the hide requirement wasn't that bad. i think cloaks take 50 hide and 60 fiberplast or polymer to make.

No flame from me for that comment! I totally agree with you... Ifpeople enjoy it and take it slow with perhaps a few bursts of grinding to get an extra box here or there, they get a better perspective on often over looked items, textures and things thatcanbe donewith other colors that are available at lower lvl's.

It's not about stats with tailors, there is no formula as to what looks good, it takes practice. It's one of those things where you can be a master tailor long before you are a (Master Tailor) because you know your stuff.

I am not implying that people should not at all grind and I do not mean to imply that someone who grinded to master would be a bad tailor (hehe... I grinded all the to master the second and third time I did tailor) I am just saying that it can be a lot of fun before the master phase, even without the brightest colors.
