Thread: My concept of the role a Factioned Tailor could have in the GCW

What role could Factioned Tailors have in the GCW? Here's what I think they could do.

They of course cant fight or make weapons or armor. They're crafters, theymake things out of cloth and whatnot, mainly clothes. They can enhance clothes by help of Bio-Engineered Tissue.

So when the Tailor joins a faction, their roles could be: (along with making civilian clothing) To make faction clothing, faction uniforms, faction flags, player city faction flags (placed outside of buildings), faction banners, faction backpacks, pauldrons, and they can help the soldiers and healers and possibly craftersby making Bio Enhanced Clothing (there would need to be more types of tissues added that Tailors can use to enhance the clothing).

*Bulleted Points of the above GCW Tailor role/s Below*

Faction Ranks of the player shown on Imperial Jacket:

  • When Imperial players equip the Imperial Jacket Tailors can create, their current faction rank would be shown on the jacket like in the movies.

  • Or, make it a choice of the Tailor when creating the jacket. The Tailor could create a private rankjacket all the way up to a colonel rank jacket. TheImperial player could only equip the jacket if they're the rank of the jacket.

  • Or, instead of crafting the jacket withdifferent ranks on it, make the rank badge things craftable. Imperial players would buy 1 Imperial crafted jacket and when they advance in rank, they would buy their current rank badge fromthe Tailor and then drag and drop it onto their jacket.

  • These ranks arealready shown on some faction NPCS.

  • This would all be the same for the Rebels, what ever their officer type uniform jacket or shirtis.

Imperial Players Stormtrooper Rank shown by Pauldron's:

  • A Stormtroopers rank is determined by a colored Pauldron on the right shoulder of a Stormtroopers outfit. Those Stormtroopers without a rank Pauldron are standard Stormtroopers.

  • Imperial Tailors could craft these Pauldron's for use with Stormtrooper Armor only. The Pauldroncan only be equipable if the player is wearing Stormtrooper Armor and has the correct rank as the Pauldron they are trying to equip.

Faction Uniforms:

  • More/all the Faction uniforms from the movies could be added for Tailors to craft and supply to factioned players.

  • The Imperial hat could be added to be crafted by the Tailor along with the Imperial pants that the npcs wear.

Flags/Banners:

  • Tailors could make faction and non faction flags, player city faction flags (like faction flags that can be placed outside in player citys) and faction banners.

Faction Clothing:

  • The Rebels have a shirt with a Rebel logo/symbol on it lootable from the corvette ship. Have shirts/jackets/hats like that with faction logos/symbols on them that can be crafted by Tailors. Rebels could only wear clothes with Rebel logos/symbols, and Imperials could only wear clothes with Imperial logos/symbols.

Imperial Stormtrooper Backpacks (and Rebel):

  • There are probably more then one style of Stormtrooper Backpacks, but in the movies, I remember seeing Stormtroopers with the type of backpack they had when they were on Tatooine I think it was. Its the part with some of them riding the Dewbacks.

  • Tailors could make faction backpacks. Im not sure what Rebel backpacks look like. I dont remember seeingtheir backpacksin the movies but there probably was.

  • These would only be wearable by the faction they're for.

For Tailors to get involved in the GCW to make these items, they could go to their faction recruiterand purchase a Faction Schematic for that faction item they wish to make.

Or what would be much easyer, a Faction Schematic that holds all the knowledge of all the faction Tailor made items. The schematic would only have to be learned once. If the Tailor quits the faction, they loose the ability to craft all faction items.

(Edited to add in the Pauldrons and again to add in the StormtrooperBackpacks)

Since you posted this, I have read it many times... Always trying to find something to add, something to further comment on. But alas... I cannot. This is everything and more that I would like to see from a factioned Tailor.

Thanks.

I can't think of anything else to add at this point.

If anyone thinks of something more a faction tailor could do or make to help their faction, let us know.
