Hi Tailors! I have 7 cans (?) of crystaline clothing treatment on Wanderhome, and was wondering if they are of any value. I'd appreciate your res on whether you think they are worth selling/auctioning or not?

Thank you.

As time goes on the schematics for the Exquisite Dancers Leotard get rarer because only new characters can get them (as opposed to the schematics that came raining down on my head from all my friends when they first revamped the Jabba loot). I'd say the Treatments are still valuable, but at this point I wouldn't by a lot of them that was lower than 6-7 identical ones. Lower than that and I don't think it's worth wasting a schematic use for.

Opinions on this may differ from server to server but generally when it comes to limited use schematics I prefer to get the most bang for my buck at this point (so when it comes to Heavy Leather pieces and Heavy Clasps I feel the same -- I'll buy large identical lots only).

I agree, large identical serial number lots only these days. I have backpacks full of the quest schematics, CCTs, HDCs and HDLs now. Anywhere from 5 to 10 identicals sets. Backpacks full. *groans*

And the market is saturated. The leotards, aprons andmodded backpacksdon't sell nearly as well as they used to. And the looted components don't go for nearly as much as they used to either. You can often pick up single crystallines, leathers and clasps on bazaar for 1000 credits or so. It's the large count identical serial number setsthat are hard to get ahold of. And only those are worth using so factory schematics can be made.

When someone asks me if I will buy them, I will if it's at least 6 identicals. We negotiate on price but I rarely pay more than 3k per piece. I don't need them at this point. I am drowning in them as it is. If I buy them, it's more as afavor to the seller. But if they are offering a set of 10-12 identicals.... you betcha. I buy. I'm stocking up and saving back for when those schematics get rare again. Meanwhile, the scads of quest reward items I've already made sit on the vendor. Heh.

If they are selling singles or low count lots, I suggest they find a novice tailor or new master tailor. They are the ones who need them. They haven't had nearly 2 years in game to hoard stuff, or have a guild collect it for them. Yet.

Hey, thanks for the responses. I didn't even realize they HAD serial numbers. One of these days I'm gonna try a crafting profession. . .

Thanks again.

Don't save them up for too long. I think they're planning to disable the option to make factory schematics from the limited schematics. That will negate the usefulness of large identical sets of leathers, clasps, or clothing treatments as well as our ability to get more than three items out of a loot schematic.

Hmm, if they did disable factory schematics from these, I would be disappointed, but not surprised. They did fix it when architects could make 1000 run schems from the newest loot drops and made all those single use. But these schems are from non-repeatable quests, not random NPC loot drops, so I would think they would leave them enabled for factory schems. Being able to make 2-5 items per schematic is a far cry from being able to make 1000 items from it.

I've already been burning through my packs of schems and comps. I'm tired of storing them. I'm tired of sorting them. I'm tired of making them. My Quest Schems vendor is getting a bent back from holding so many for sale.

Back when these first came out, our old guild leader asked me why I never stocked them. I told him I couldn't afford to buy them, nor could I kill what dropped them. (This was back when the schems sold for 500k or more and the comps for 50k +) Next thing I knew, he and some other guild hunters started delivering backpacks full of high count matched sets and various schematics. They quested, bought, traded and killed for them. I was overwhelmed. And grateful. But by the time I got all those packs, the prices for aprons and leotards had dropped drastically. Market saturated. I never made a fortune off these. Still don't.

But I am still grateful for my guild's generosity and thoughtfulness.
