Im trying to get ideas for 2 outfits, both being that of a Ranger

First is the Antarian Ranger look. Not neccesarily the same colors/outfit, but same idea. Something fashionable that looks nice, that can be worn to a business meeting, yet also worn to a hunt. An outfit that blends function and fashion.

Antarian Ranger Reference Pic

The second outfit is something pretty much identical to Aragorn/Strider during the Prancing Pony scene. The mysterious cloaked figure in the corner that just sits and watches.

Pic1

Pic2, I think its the same outfit with the cloak pulled back/down.

Any help would be great.

First is the Antarian Ranger look.

Paramilitary Camos, Basic Camos (depending on what pocketing style you want, basic is limited colors so keep that in mind as well)

Plain shirt, Casual Shirt (without or with buttons?)

Pilots Jacket, Casual Jacket (once again pockets really here, I think the pilots would really do the trick)

Sturdy Boots (wont do blue but they definatly have the 'spatted' look)

Suit, Simplified, Dignified Belt (most any belt with a solid front buckle and nothin extra on the belt.)

looking up a clear pic of your second outfit, will add it if when I find a good reference.

Well, Padded Armor Boots are still a nice touch as you said you wantedfunctionality as well as a good look. Padded comes in the full palette of colors and so can be matched to the rest of the outfit. Add the Belt and Gloves (both also nice looking) to give yourself SOME armor while out and about. It does little good to look good if you spend most of your time in a Bacta Tank

The Antarian Ranger boots COULD also be Padded Armor Boots (for that extra bit of protection just in case)

Nope, no armor at all. HAM costs are way too high when unbuffed.

Still searchign desperatly for a decent ranger outfit. Either an outfit that says 'Mysterious fringer sitting in the corner.' Or, 'Sucessful hunter and businessman who can lead you through the dune sea, and the streets or coruscant.

For good Ranger-ish stuff that is still non-armor and presentable when dealing with clients, I like the Cold Weather Jacket, most likely brown with black trim or black with grey trim. Another option is to go with a duster, but everyone and their Wookiee has one of those... well, okay, the Wookiee doesn't, but everyone with a Wookiee has a duster.

Another decent option is a monochrome olive drab or brown Flex-form Shirt under a Cargo Vest in brown or black, respectively.

Shirts, I like the Side-buttoned shirt, most likely in a tan to brown

Pants, I suggest paramilitary camos, but in a monochrome brown. This will give the nice pocket placement, but without the overused camo pattern. For a slightly more military yet still civvy look you can go with a black/red or black/orange pattern here, though these only look good if a Master Tailor makes them, and I see a lot of the black/red.

Boots: piece of cake... Sturdy boots, black/black.

Backpack, I acually suggest the basic Travel Pack, or the Military Travel Pack. Both look well equipped, yet still rugged enough to be useful to a Ranger.

Belts: I don't like them, really. That aside, almost any will look nice provided they're in a complementary color scheme to the rest of your clothes.

Headgear: Large headwrap if you're on Tat, but otherwise I'd go without.

Handgear: Tipless gloves, darker brown, if any.

Essentially, the best thing for you to do is get yourself a Master Tailor willing to play around with ideas. You might also want to look at various online SWG catalogs to get an idea of what your options are, and bring your ideas to your Tailor.

Also with these options there may be relatively decent opportunities for BE bonuses as well, if your Tailor is well equipped with a list of BE contacts. With this, expect a decent price increase, but the possibility's there.

Happy hunting!

Ack! Forgot about the second getup...

Cloak (Hood Up) brown

Standard Boots

Shirt... um... I dunno. Formal shirt, maybe? Or Plain Shirt. I like the collars from both of these. Go with colors similar to your Strider photos.

Pants: Pocketed Work Pants I believe they're called should work well. Dark brown, maybe closer to black.

As for the belt... I actually recommend the Ubese Bandolier. I really like the look of this in a variety of ways.

Not exactly the look... but my favourite two Jackets for Rangers are the Scout Jacket and the Desert Command Jacket...
