My fellow tailors;

(Heh - always wanted to start something like that )

It occured to me that a nice varient on the "floalting in air" clothing displays mide be architect-crafted "mannequins" - essentially extremely basic humanoid(with Ithorian and wookiee variants) statues which could be made in a variety of poses - dignififed, dancing, kneeling, sitting, brooding "I'm on the cover of a rap album!" and so on.

These items could accept clothes in the same way that vendors can - meaning you can put them on (as long as the item can be worn by the mannequin species).

Why do this, you ask? Just to add a little more variety to the clothing stores. I don't expect to actually SEE this in-game (as the devs have a LOT more pressing issues than "Vesobe's Mannequin Plan", but I *DO* think that this is such a wonderful idea that they should, oh I don't know, give my character an extra 200 skill points. (hey, worth a shot)

Sincerely yours,

Vesobe Isramo, who got so fed up of trying to find a Bio-Engineer who had the patience to make crates of tissues on a regular basis he actually went and bought another copy of the game to do it himself)

(Me.)

old request we have had for awhile, from us and archi and even artisans.

it comes to more then just better then floating in air displays,

we want them to show how the clothes look per gender and species.

Men just dont see themselves in a few outfits since when dropped for display they have "boob bumpouts" (an old post said this and I stick with it)

dressing vendors isnt the greatest since clothes are eaten when given.

and layering doesnt show correctly when dropped on floor.

So this has been around and will be around til we get it (or as close to it as we can stand)

I love this idea

But how would it work... I see 2 ways.

1. The tailor crafts the item/items slides them on to the customer and you can approve/reject the item. This really does not save us any time or crafting, but could be a nice feature and service to the customer.

2. Be able to "paper doll" the customer with any items available via anID tent and using the same interface . Once they decide on the styles/colors they like, a limited use schematic is created for each item with the customer's name in our crafting schematics undera"Custom Clothing" heading. The ability to do this and do it well could be added to our experimentation tree.

I think I like #2

#2 would definately be the choice for me as well. It would make the tailoring profession SO much easier and rewarding. (And fun!)
