Tested this on a 0/1000 condition garment with a +4 melee defence CA in it and the mod stacked in my char window. Went from 285 melee defense to 289.
I did have a customer tell me yesterday that he stuck a CA in a garment with 0/1000 condition and the CA disappeared. I hadn't heard that one before. Anyone else encountered this?

*mess up crated colors so tailors have to hand craft everything*
*mess up the crafting process so bio mods do not work, thereby making clothing pure decoration*
*mess up CA's so they disappear when inserted, causing ppl to not risk it*
result
*tailors quit in droves and only armor is needed in game*
think of all the database and coding and graphics resources that would no longer be needed

I have bought numerouse CA's and dropped them into clothing only to dissapear.
The item still has 4 sockets and no CA. New or old!
If the mods are stacking/giving the propor bonuses/defenses, and yet it looks to you as if the CA'sdisappear, the question then becomes: is the garment getting the bonuses without the sockets being used up? If so, how many tapes will a garment take while giving those bonuses and not counting against sockets? Maybe it looks like the ca's are disappearing because somehow it's notbeing attached a socket value. Just a thought...

i have a pre cu glove with forage +1 that that 0/1000 and it still shows up as having that.....then again i didnt check sence the hotpatch
