I have some constrictor cloth that a BE gave me, but I don't know what to do with it. I'm a novice tailor, so I can make only a few items that call for biological components. How do I know which bio component will go into an item?

Constrictor cloth goes in reinforced fiber panel but does nothing at the moment. If you use it you will get some bleeding resistance panels and give UXP to the BE who gave them to you, but the clothes you will make will get no additional stats out of it. When it's fixed though it should be useful.

Actually that's not quite true even now Songe. Bleed is one of the ones that's been debated at great length over whether it's been working - but that said, after the next patch it should.

Whether the piece inherits the bonus right now depends on the receipe. If it's a piece like a bandolier that just calls for one piece - it will inherit. If it's in a mixed receipe with more than one instance of cloth - since the big patch that broke factories for so long - it won't - they busted it (mainly the 3 pants it worked in before). I went ahead yesterday and started making bandoliers and the 3 shirt receipes that will still create properly to get ahead of the initial rush of the patch when I expect to be making other stuff.

Formfitting undershirts, reinforced and lined workshirts still create properly. All the bandoliers that take a reinforced panel still create properly.

I actually pulled out an outfit with a bleed resist to it the other day and had a friend shoot me a few times. (That's real friendship!) Net result was that the bleeding defense either didn't work, or worked in reverse. I took more damage with the clothes ON than with a normal set. I suspect it's simply non-functional, however, and the increase was observer error, but it definitely didn't help.
