Thread: Halloween Costumes

I think that it would be a great idea if the devs would put a few in the game for October only, this would give players something to do for Halloween, like have a costume contest. At the moment I can make a Spiderman suit and that's about it. I think they should put about 10 costumes in the game that we can craft just for fun, would really liven things up! The artwork should not be too hard to do, and they can just drop them in on one of the morning downtimes.

Does Macy's tell Gimball's?

I have a few ideas in mind for Halloween. All of them horribly, horribly out of character for Star Wars, but if I'm online on Halloween (not guaranteed, that's a busy weekend for me), nobody will have any doubt who I'm supposed to be. And no, I'm not telling anybody in advance. Being dressed cooler than anyone else is one of the major perks of being a tailor.

I will give one away: before I thought of this idea, I was considering a Robin Hood suit: green Infiltrator Leggings, green Pimple Shirt, darker green Standard Boots, darker green Tight Jacket, and probably a green Headwrap. Why? Because it's the only legitimate use I can think for that ugly, ugly jacket, and it was the first thing I thought of when I saw it for the first time. ("Ah, how rude of me. Oh, Merry Men?")

As for the Spiderman suit, I assume it's a red reinforced jumpsuit with blue patches?

The Tactical Skinsuit in (black or blue) and red looks pretty close to *a* Spider-Man character, if not the red and blue costume we're most familiar with.

The character is "Spider-Man 2099":

I did a couple Superman-evoking outfits the other night, too....
(Dangit, we need a fully-colorable boot!)

Working on a Halloween range now -- and already have a set of Christmas costumes lined up. Those are the ones I'm really looking forward to. *grins* Meantime, you could make a decent pumpkin out of anyone by putting them in an orange dress robe.. *coughs*

Immersion be damned. I opened my costume shop over the weekend, and people are loving it, even if some aren't brave enough to try all the costumes. I have everything ranging from Elvis and Mystique (the new infilt suit textures made that one easy)to Padme and Han Solo. So far I've come up with about 20 outfits, and no big shock the SW char outfits sell the most. Use the "I want to look like that guy in the movie" thread, and be creative with your other schematics. A lot of the non-SW ones I have up started as suggestions from customers. One asked for a Wonder Woman outfit (was actually dared to wear it by a friend) and that got us started seeing what else we can come up with. Besides the Star Wars gear, my two best sellers are one-piece outfits - a black w/ white trim Grand Healer's Robe (Sister Mary Galaxina) and a grey w/ lt blue tactical named Tron. I'm also selling a lot of the WWE outfit (all black: shorts, sturdy boots, tipless gloves, simple vest), but I'm starting to regret that one since my husband is threatening to dress a vendor in it and set it to just say "WHAT" on ad barking. Probably the only time ad barking breaking so often is a good thing

LOL.... I could just picture that, my server is lucky I don't have enough points to get the merchant skills to dress my vendors.

There was a thread a while back, a bunch of superhero outfits people had done... I hope to see soeme around, and have to put some together myself

Ugh we have enough BS about halloween in real life without putting it in a game, come on! Especially SWG... I higly doubt Halloween exists there.

Me, I'm thinking ahead to all the December 25 Life Day celebrations. There'll be lots of demand for people wanting to dress up like Bea Arthur or Harvey Korman, and entertainers will all want the traditional holiday Jefferson Starship outfits....

You are of course right, Halloween probably doesnt exist but who cares We're a creative class, lets have some fun with it

I can only echo what an earlier poster said, if people think my Halloween outfits are odd or over the top, just wait til christmas gets close. I revert to 3-year old status in December and Im gonna to dress as a Christmas Elf and give out cookies if its the last thing i do!

Kind Regards,
