Thread: Suggestions to make tailors part of the economy.
We all know vehicles are coming out soon. Vehicles have seats. Seats require manufactured materials. Make it so that tailors are the only ones who can manufacture vehicle upholstery. The higher a particular skill, the higher the level of vehicle you can make seat leather for.
We all know creature mounts are coming soon. Mounts need saddles, leather or synthetic saddles. Make it so that tailors and only tailors can make the material needed for those saddles.
We know player cities are in the works. Player cities have buildings. These building have furniture. This furniture needs cloth. Make it so that an architect needs a certain amound of tailor manufactured material to build a particular building.
Decay. Clothes have to wear out. I don't really care how this gets implemented, but tailors need a renewable source of income.
Dependancies. Give other professions the ability to make things that require tailor manufactured items to build. Not just armorsmiths.

Architects already need synth cloth to make high level furniture
Just 3 Master level pieces.

This is all very well and good for tailors, but would be a pain for the other professions. We wouldn't like it if the roles were reversed, either, so I won't really advocate this point. What if we were told that we would need metal buckles forged by weaponsmiths to make our boots and belts? I would surely hate that. ![]()
As for your idea ofseats and saddles, well, that's really cool and I like. ![]()
