I just mastered tailor and am thrilled..this was something I wanted to do since I started the game but could never commit myself to the grind. Well I finally did whew. I'm so relieved that I don't have to grind anymore
I opened a shop where my home has been, over on Dantooine, and haven't sold much of anything. I just thought it would be more convenient since everything I need is right there..but I'm beginning to regret it. I put in so much hard work on stocking my vendors and am probably going to have to pull them up and move the shop to a more populated location. :/

My shop is on Dantooine, Scyllaand I have no trouble with sales (and I don't have global ad). I think you just need to wait a while... word of mouth is very powerful, and if you keep a well-stocked vendor you should have no trouble. I may be downsizing my business or switching to custom orders, so I'll be sure to refer customers to your shop.

I'd suggest against deciding to move for at least a month or so. I have one of the best stocked clothing shops (at least of the ones I've been able to find) on Rori on my server, and have a lot of folks who live there tell me how happy they are that they have such a good selection available on their own planet. People appreciate not always having to go to Naboo or Corellia to shop.
The most important thing you can do to get repeat business is to be well stocked. That will make folks actually keep your waypoint and come back later. It did take time for my sales to grow, but now I am making more out in the middle of Rori than I was when my shop was 1000m from Kaadara!

N'jessi your clothing shop is by far the best stocked I have ever come across and carries some of the most elegant clothing I've seen in the game. It would be a shame if you closed your shop
Thank you for the advice and if you do semi retire I would gladly take on the customers you reffered to me.

I'm going to take you up on that - maybe put your waypoint on my shop sign when my stocks start to get low... I can refer my entire guild to you - they are clothes fiends. Start stocking! (p.s. they like fleshwraps. A lot)
I'm debating what to do because my fiance is going to quit the game, and we have a joint tailoring/armor conglomerate of houses and resources. So I'd have to get all my various items out of our various (7) houses, redo my vendors, transfer a lot of structures - in other words, it's about as messy as a divorce.
On the other hand, I just started playing on TC and I absolutely love it. I feel a new sense of purpose instead of just making credits. So with him leaving, I may well just hop to TC rather than trying to salvage my part of the business.
