I tried crafting ribbed shirts at novice Tailor, I recieved no exp. I tried many different combinations of clothes, including ones using fiberplast panels and metal fasteners with no exp given. I crafted only the clothing that was made available at novice not the artisan clothing but nothing gave me exp. I wasnt grinding and am actually wearing some of what i made. What am i doing wrong?

Very frustrated, please help!

Not sure actually, sounds like you are doing all the right things. You're not capped for XP or anything are you?

If you are not capped and need to train, I have heard of a bug that is keeping people's XP from displaying. You get the XP, but you can't see it.

Try moving to a different location as well. Sometimes you get bugged and crossing a server boundary fixes you.

I had that happen to me just the other day on a non-tailor skill. Logout and log back in and your xp should come back.

If you're using a macro and crafting near a crafting station then you wont get XP

I am just a novice tailor...(made it yesterday) but I have found that if you are not making an item that requires novice tailor, then it doesn't give you the exp. it gives it to generic crafting exp. but Ribbed shirts are supposed to work.

Some possible reasons

  1. You are maxed out on XP - Depending on how far along you are, it may be that you have too much (i.e. 120 000 XP) and that it isn't adding until you get trained

  2. The bug that causes the Amount not to show up. This can be fixed by

    • Logging in and out

    • Travelling

    • Making a Prototype or Actual Item

    • Waiting 5-10 minutes

    • Hitting CTRL S, and looking at other professions besides the one you are grinding, clicking on some skills, and then going back to click on the skill you were grinding.

I'd just been getting this. I followed the tip on logging back in again and BOOM! There was my exp.

Not much, mind you, but it was there.
