this apron (which takes a jacket slot i believe?) can be crafted as a shirt... which i was all excited about because we already have a +6 med exp lab coat (white gunman's duster)
but now it seems the shirt can't be worn with the lab coat
buggy or meant to be that way? no shirt and apron combo i could see so that it's not just a full 10 from 2 jabba's palace items, but no coats at all?
it takes +20 med exp from items/clothes to get the 2 available additional crafting experimentation points, 1 per 10
i've never heard of a +med exp armor attachment, i think they're all clothing, so somehow the whole +20 needs to fit into clothing items
the vast majority of +med exp tapes in the game are +1 and +2, and i'm told that at present you can't stack 2 of the same kind of skill tape in one item, they just override each other, so... it's a big problemif the new shirt can'tbe worn with any coats
my partner (zabrak) and i (twi'lek) currently have:
+6 lab coat
+5 gloves
+2 tape waiting to be placed in something
+1 tape waiting to be placed in something
... and the +5 shirt which now apparently doesn't fit into the plan
so questions:
a) has anyone heard anything about that item being buggy? will some sort of fixhappen that makes the shirt and lab coat wearable together?
b) if we can't use the +5 shirt, whatother items that both twi'leks and zabs can weartake clothing skilltapes? are pants, shirt and belt it?is therefootwear that can besocketed? do clothing attachments go in bandoliers? is there such a thing as a hat that both twi'lek and zabrak can wear?
*gets out her rubik's cube*

It looks like the crafter's apron is intended to take both the shirt and jacket slots, so that it can't be stacked up with another one. As far as sockets go, all clothing can have sockets: shoes, hats, gloves, everything.

Meh, I answered this post in the other thread you posted it in, reposting my response here for ya:
I doubt the shirt version will ever be wearable with a jacket. I assume it was done that way on purpose to keep folks from getting a shirt-style crafter's apron and one of the other styles, wearing them together, and getting a +10 bonus to two skills.
So I don't see this as a bug so much as intentional design to keep folks from doubling up.
I guess they could have tried to make the shirts equip as a shirt, then make it impossible to equip one of the shirts from the apron schem with the apron, but that would have been much more complicated, wound up being buggy somehow, and definately would have taken a lot more time.
And the devs haven't exactly been putting much time or attention into working on the tailoring profession. We can't even get them to fix the necklace bug we've had since barely after release, or sort the wookiee clothes into the "wookiee clothing" category on the bazaar. Or make it so that 0 condition on a piece of clothing actually means something.
